make your own for less than $5.
3 metre's of 6mm plastic tubing from Mitre 10
A piece of wood 50mm wide X 1metre long, marked with divisions 10mm apart
Fix the tubing to the wood in a 'U' shape on the piece of wood with cable ties, and then suck some light weight oil into the tube (enough to fill the 'U' shape aprox half way up each side).
Connect one end of the tubing to carb1, and the other to carb 2 and your away.
for multi's balance carb 1 and 2 first, then remove and connect to 3 and 4 and balance, then connect to carb 1 and 4 to balance each bank of carbs.
Have used this method for years and is very sensitive (depending on the weight of oil you use), also safer than the mecury tubes if it gets sucked into the motor.
PM me your e-mail and I'll send you a pick of mine.
You could borrow my dial type vacuum gauges - if Magua ever gets his bike running and returns them...![]()
... and that's what I think.
Or summat.
Or maybe not...
Dunno really....![]()
It runs, but only kinda corners and kinda stops.
MacD was wanting to use them. You could pick them up from me and then drop them to him when you're done with them?
I need to fiddle with my carb internals, so it'll be a while before I need to use them again.
I built one as per answer and it worked perfect, saves me spending big bucks on a motion pro![]()
can some1 post up ther home made version as I'd love to know the cheapy way to do the job when I have a multi? cheers boys and girls
the loops at the top go on the carbs an i used automatic trans fluid.
I also didnt have the stems to screw into the carbs so made my own cheep. I got two bolts that were the right size and the right thread for the carbs [gsxr400]then got an engineer to drill a hole down the centre and then cut the head off. I then locktighted two nuts together and then put a rubber O ring on the bolt to seal and there you have it a home made equlizer

Good onya!
Opinions are like arseholes: Everybody has got one, but that doesn't mean you got to air it in public all the time....
I made one using a single vacuum gauge and 4 tapes from a pet store and tubing.
