    Cool Eurotrip 2009

    Hey

Just thought i would share this with you lot, mostly to make you jealous but also would be interested in any comments or opinions on the route.

The route isn't final yet and we want to keep it reasonably flexible anyway.

planning to leave on the 23rd of May and back on the 21st of June, currently as a 2 or maybe 3 bike team.

anyway, let me know what you think

Freiburg is quite near Strasbourg, has an amazing castle that you shouldn't miss.

Saltzburg is also worth a visit.

But what you would most regret would be not visiting Budapest and Prague.

And, uhum, missed the jealous point

That's a great route. You will take in some amazing views and great cuisine.

Your route may be ambitious for such a short trip. I guess you could always take an airflight to Paris to take in that incredible city.

IMO - The only thing I would add would be taking in the best area on the planet, being Tuscany. I'd forget London and start from Belgium. At least you wouldn't have to worry about driving on on the left and on the right.

    Good luck.

good points... I'm guessing Nurbergring may already be planned, as his 2nd stopover (or 2nd to last) looks like it's there.

Ducati factory still do it... link

There are 2 circuits - The long, old circuit which is open to everyone and the short, new race circuit (where the race will be happening).
You should be OK with the old one... Just have to watch out for the tour buses!

I see you're heading close to Brno too... we happened to be in the vicinity when they had an open evening at the Brno GP track, that may be worth a look if it's still happening!

This is supposed to be a fantastic road.... http://www.beyond.fr/map/mpnapol.html

We're heading down that way in July to check it out....

Looks like a hell of a lot of off-roading to me!

Jealous? erm, yes, but having circum navigated Europe many times
I'm still discovering the delights of NZ thanks.

    Enjoy.
