    POST-Kiwibiker Rideout #lostcount

alright guys, throw all the comments/goods, bads. and any other stuff/experiences in here!

here i go... It was GREAT! to say the least, thats the first time ive ever riden those roads (apart from small bit to paeroa) infact the first time ive riden a motorcycle more then 100km in a day, let alone over all those roads i didnt know existed!! just amazing... i honestly say i didnt know there were roads like those ones comnig down into coromandel itself.  Id like to say thanks to Spankme for the site (i hope many of you donated what u could) and thanks to the guys on the 250's for coming along and keeping up Really well for what i *thought* they were, and basically thanks to all of you for making the day what it was... the highlight of my day (bikewise) was 130wide on his 1984 Kawasaki GPz750E1... not just hte bike itself.. but watching it literally FLY psased, go fully horozontal into a corner right around the outside of me and others... bloody amazing bike and rider, but just take it easy 130wide, id hate to see anything happen to that bike.

Awesome stops and food, and damn mah mate is working tomorrow so sorry MikeL etc about the ride to Port waikato, will go on our own short as auckland motorway ride after 4pm...

You guys all rock! great to see everyone with a common interest get along so well.

    Coromandel Run
I've added the images I took to the gallery. Bloody good day and ride. Chur to KK for orginizing it. Thanks to everyone who made a donation. Will have to think of something site related to spend the cash on.

To those who also took photos, upload them to the above category so we can all have a look at them. Too bad I can't take photos while riding.

Bloody hot day. Burnt my head again. Must remember to start taking a hat.

And on que, it starts to piss down.

    Re great ride

hey Logan, yeah great ride mate , neat to meet some more kb's and match faces with names, also good no mishaps, other than a rougue chain off,
130 wide ,cool to meet you mate, nice bike, do that pm thingy b4 you come to woodhill, and I'll sort it for you.
Pretty sure I can convince Andrew to pop down to Whakatane for a Latte, so once he's finished his exams, it should be on.
Oh and BTW Mike L, I hope you are not trying to imply that I would throw a "Sicky" to go riding, that would be setting a bad example to others surely .

    cheers firefight

Awesome day out riding guys. Most had a good pace and some with some serious pace. Good on every one for staying upright (including myself). Great pics Spank

It was wicked. A good fun ride at a good pace - and I only made it for half of it it Next time I'll make sure I haven't got a job scheduled for the same day...
Can't wait for the next one!

What an awesome day! The weather was great, the company was great and the pace was fresh.

It was also a good learning curve for me and my 250. If i get stuck behind a car on the twisties, I can't overtake it too easily mainly because there was no instant torque on tap, but i had a great time going along at my own pace.

The only mishap to the day for me was the chain jumping off the rear sprocket. Luckily the chain got back on with the help from BabyB, Doc, and Bigdog - Thanks Guys. I'm investigating a new chain and sprockets as we speak.

Oh and also thanks to Firefight for accompanying me to the motorway and the lending me his moto-x boots. Sadly i didn't manage to get any pics of Asian tourists, but we'll do that on a Taupo, or Whakatane ride!!

Somebody said to me that i was really lucky that i wasn't hurt when my chain came off. He said that I better rush home and buy a lotto ticket. Well funny enough my brother managed to sell my RGV150 that afternoon, cash exchanged bike gone!!

In conclusion, great day, great food, still single, $1500 richer. Oh and the pics i took will go up on Monday.

Well done Andrew. It was your lucky day!
Count me in for a Taupo ride if it's on a weekend (or weekday after 28 Nov). And Whakatane sounds good, too. From what I remember the road from Tauranga to Whakatane is pretty good. We can avoid the earlier boring bits by going via Whangamata and Waihi...

Awesome ride, good to see everyone had a good time and good to meet everyone. Shit that RSV can pull out of corners.
Also good to see some bikes two up and having a good time.

Firefigther thanx for the stand matches the KDX just right, I'll try and sort out a road ride this way.
