Police did some checks and think it hangs around Palmy, The rego is fake, it's registered to a stolen identity from some poor guy from Southland. looks like they're sizing my place up for a berg. Police said to ring 111 if it's spotted again.

also, in the videos I posted earlier, I had the mrs on the back so had to ride like a good boy... usually i would accelerate and brake a bit harder and generally through the bike around a bit more to maintain the speed.

Nice ride up and over last evening around 17:30, a bit tamer in the early rain on the way back at 21:30, actually touched the back brake on the 25k corner just in case there was rubble on the road. It was the commuters not staying to their side on the way over and the risk of slips on the way back.

That is all there is to spotted, they know where it is, sometimes helps to let the poster of the tag know that clues to the tag's location aren't required and warns other players to get their skates on, darn, I've already admitted that I am not available tomorrow

yes, sorry I didn't think of that until after I posted it, therefore acceptable if taken from outside the gate.

thought that was what you called your bike?
That is what the bike is called but not what I use. Spider is a witch and 100 years ago would have been burned at the stake.

The nu 1 is good for kill off a few of the grey cells, or so I'm told. Goes well with cheese. Is not too far away due to the weather. A trifecta of clues but beware that Spider will probably have it spotted as soon as he see it.
Yep, I did spot it. I've got the lurgy, so I won't be going anywhere soon. Mind you, I wouldn't get out during opening hours anyway...

awesome day to get out for a ride, ended up doing 270odd kms to go get the manawatu tag also, but got beaten to the punch when posting the image.

guess Google maps wont be much use with the new one ;)
Must say I am bit dubious about the sighting of that pedestrian crossing on a downhill ramp, just before a Giveway, especially when you consider the other thread about the biker that got thwacked at a Stop sign in Tawa. thanks for the pre-warning.

I would say that once the expressway is operational the downhill ramp and pedestrian crossing will both be deleted from this particular piece of road... Oops was that a hint?

I was going to point out that they wouldn't be required until the expressway was operational, but then I noticed the state of the seal on the ramp, at that rate it will be worn out before the expressway is opened.
btw don't worry I don't think you hint gave way too much and there is plenty of expressway to go round

given the side of the expressway its on, the shape and angle to which it joins the expressway, its clearly going to be an on ramp.
it would be impossible for it to be used as a duel purpose on and off ramp.
those paint lines will be there for the workers vehicles etc. and will be removed/replaced for proper use when the road is completed.
the only off ramp I've seen is the one heading south that spits you off at Kapiti road, and from the shape of it, you will come down off the ramp onto flat ground well before you will need to stop.
That said I'm sure there will be many teething problems when it does open. and I may be completely incorrect...

hahaha I don't think anyone really needs a clue though eh?
seems to be more "motovation" and "hours in the day" that the crew around here is lacking

agreed but does help a little.
"motovation" is there, the late winter blast is off putting when you have no other reason to ride, so perhaps the "motovation" isn't quite strong enough after all lol. The non-operational "hours in the day" during the working week are going to be an issue.

Great day for a little ride on the little invader. I didn't think there was to be either on or off ramps at Otaihanga. Didn't want to be squised by a truck load of roading material so set-up a bit sideways, the one gate open and operating has to be the tag  Tag is "south" side of Otaihanga Road, Southwards side of the overbridge, like you didn't know :laugh:

To stick with the theme, and hopefully one that will make you think for at least half a second to find the right point along the route.

That said, the weather is meant to be complete ass for the next week also...

Not this time, taking the car as last time I went down with the Mrs. (2years ago) we rode down on a Suzuki GW250, did the whole way down on xmas eve in one day, left Kapiti at 10 am and got to Dunedin 4 am xmas day... She wasn't happy...
this time last year I actually bought my bike in Dunedin and rode it back, but long trips on the bike are a solo thing for me these days hahahahaha
