Surely if your life is that bad that you need these dangerous drugs then should you really be trying to help other people?????
chemical imbalance usually isn't a choice
"your life being that bad" implies that external factors are even relevant (protip: they're really not)
personally, (and i've had a fair bit of interaction with te politzei) most people who want to be cops, shouldn't be allowed. and half of them would benefit from medicating.

Yeh, cept if theyre taking the meds, guess what, they likely handle stress just as well as you and me, or you...
"I'm not crazy, I'm just a little unwell." This is not the sort of comment you want to hear from :Police: when they are pointing that thingy that goes bang at you.
What does Scummy think of this ? :cold:

Yep ok if you need these drugs to feel better and cope with bad stuff, but dangerous side affects are well known.
There's a big list of dangerous side effects for fucking near anything, they are only "possible" side effects though

Unlikely I will get that depressed, I would have to travel through husaberg terriTORY first.
like last time, I never did get to see lake Matheson, it’s the one goal I have when down that way.
but I got to touch a glacier, maybe that why they are melting......

The lake is magic on a calm sunny day. Not nearly as much on any other ... and Jacksons bay is worth the effort. (On a sunny day as well)

As long as the :Police: is wearing a hat and carrying a torch - experience says you will be OK - don't think anything will be pointing or liable to go bang! :oi-grr:

The sea breeze usually keeps them at bay. A good little cafe near the wharf. Was good quality food last time I was there. The road in there isn't that level ... but it's sealed. 50 km's from Haast to Jacksons bay.

apparently two lots of red for successive posts isnt a thing "You must spread some Reputation around before giving it to R650R again."
so, wanna go for the hat-trick
Police are employed to keep the peace and protect people's liberty and safety. On a bad day the person you want in this job has to be on their A game all the time.
There's ample documentation available to show how dangerous anti depressant medication is, its effects on the brain are similar to Amphetamines in the damage it does. This medication just disguises a problem.
I cant believe the talent pool available is so shallow that this dispensation is required or even considered.
Anti depressants are one of the reasons why we have more women killers and women killing their own children these days.
Feel free to red rep again if freedom of speech is worse than employing someone fit and healthy for a particular job.
In relation to subsequent comments I have no issue with someone already employed needing medication and continuing in job with monitoring. But in a job where clarity of mind and sound judgement is imperative, taking someone in who is on mind altering medication is not best practice.
On a positive note, this guys story is really positive motivation about overcoming lifes problems, seriously burnt and nearly dead he came back to get to the top of his profession....

As you wish - Though common wisdom suggests you normally use your last wish to wish for another thousand wishes.
...And FWIW, I have no problem with freedom of speech but merely wanted to let you know I disagreed strongly with your view and think you might need to get out more
