27 May 2009 Well I have just had a long talk with the girl from upstairs called Saskia. She was in NZ on exchange a couple of years back and just came by to drop some notes off to my flat mate. It was cool to talk to her again, and laso to have someone to share my pineapple lumps with! I met her for the first time on Saturday evening at my flatmate’s 21st. Turns out she lives just upstairs and I was at her place for tequila party a month or so ago. Small world! And ...
After a full days work at awayatcs the drive belt is on. Long day but went pretty well really. Will try and describe but I don't have manual in front of me and I'm not very technical so bear with me. First off primary cover came off - all good. Then had to undo the big nut at the front. Awayatc had made the tool to stop the sprockets moving following the harley specs. Nut was on so tight that it bent the tool. He improvised with some bits out of the socket set and with an almighty effort got it ...
We wake up early in the morning and quickly pack our things. We stop once more by the restaurant where we drank the night before to have a quick breakfast. It is a bit too salty for all of us but we eat up and head out on our way. Soon we reach Bosnia and it is a gorgeous day. We are following a GPS which takes us on a little detour. We end up crusing around ...
We are tackling this job tomorrow. Will be a marathon session until it's finished. All going well I will be off to the Brass Monkey with my new belt tomorrow. Will post gory details tomorrow and will hopefully be celebrating
Have moved the spada into my bedroom as a constant reminder that I have to do some work on it. Aside from that, I haven't done any work on it, I've been having too much fun on the weekends.. Time to get serious, the concept of having such a machine to thrash is too tempting to just abandon, it must be done, WILL BE DONE ! Peace
After my ex unilaterally changed the care arrangements of my children (effectively substantially reducing my time with them) I had to wait 14 months to get a date at the North Shore Family court. Then 30 minutes before court starts she effectively relents on her position agreeing to restore the prior arrangement, so that when we actually enter court all we can say is the matter is now settled. We had attended numerous mediation sessions. In one of them attended by a Judge she even admitted ...
24 May 2009 End of May already eh, where have all these days gone?! So many things have been going on, including two 21sts, Saturday classes at uni, a movies overload and blood donation. It’s hard to know where to start! So let’s begin this morning… I just had the coolest two days showing Dad around Freiburg and farewelled him at 8am today. He arrived on Thursday evening and I was at the train station half an hour early to be there to meet him. It was such a treat to ...
To what extent a disciplined environment has on an individual, be it the military, police, emergency services paramedics, doctors, nurses, to name but a few occupations, is as wide and as varied as any and all of the individuals. How we handle situations is born of training, implementation, and accepting the end result knowing that every thing that could be done was done, be the outcome a good one or a bad one. The strength of the professional character is at times camouflaged as are the weaknesses. ...
