If you didn't get injured in an accident, sounds like GOOD luck to me.![]()
Just cos you can....don't mean you should!!
yeah and dont look down, look to the horizon or better yet a point beside Thanis bike,or even down the side of the car that stopped...cos thats where you will end up going if you dont stop first. When you get your bike fixed go and find a quiet peice of road and practise hard stops so you get the feel of it,if you do lock up the front wheel release the front brake IMMEDIATELY and reapply. The next time you have to stop it wont be "good luck" it will be "good work"
Don't brake. Brakes are way overrated, only cagers brake. Dodge.

You failed the test and really need to sort it out before you get on a bike again.
Target fixation maybe part of it but "following distance" was a better answer assuming you had concentration/focus on what you were doing.
If following distance was under control...target fixation is less of a factor.
(Space is your BEST friend at any speed and in any circumstances on a bike. Space =time)
BTW: GNs maybe "tough" but skin and bone aint. (you got lucky)
Tried that in my little roller skate bomb the other morning on the way to work when some blonde bint driving a Remuera tractor needed the entire road while she re-did her lippy or something, about ended up in the drain.
And "panic braking"
Bit hard to dodge when there was oncoming traffic.
He was plenty far enough behind me. Going from an 80 to a 50 when the car in front of you decides to slam on her brakes makes you cover distance really quickly, even while braking.
I think Im lucky too...
My poor baby lived to tell the tale, with no damage as far as I can tell.
I'm just grateful that there was no traffic behind us.
Bad luck had nothing to do with it.
Piss poor management is more likely the cause.
