I really did enjoy the ride all the same. Rode the mighty 225 from Pahiatua to home, so at least I finished riding home myself. Cheers Fasttrax. Great wee bike. Gearings perfect. Hope you've warmed up.

    Hopefully recovery will be tomorrow.
I did waRM UP EVENTUALLY - awesome day and nice moves through the gorge on the mighty 225 - bones. I enjoyed the pillion ride to on a bigger bike lots of fun:

    Hi All
Is anyone interested in the night ride this Saturday.
Just dawned on me that the All Black vs France is on in Wellington that night, might make for heavey traffic.
Let me know as we may change route and destination.

Count me out. I'm a morning person so riding late at night when it's freezing cold is not my idea of fun. PLus the test is on. I'll sit at home in front of the log fire and keep warm.

This is a family weekend for us so I will be out for the Saturday night.
Quite a few local riders are planning a possible Taranaki loop ride Saturday if the weather holds.
Allowing for 'Nutty' All Blacks traffic Saturday night is an issue.

I ere on the side of caution.

If the Burger Run is put off I would be keen to do a Sunday afternoon Cafe run, finishing at Simply Balmy Foxton Beach.

I am out as well, we have a house full as its the Winter series road racing at Manfield this weekend. 2 day meet.

I go with Gary, caution will be very much needed in Wgtn if you go. Will be lots of idiot cage drivers around.

My apologies for next Wednesday's meeting. I'm working away from home next week.

Cracker of a day on Friday. I was home by lunch time so went for a blat up to Kimbolten then on to Rangiwahia, across to SH2 then home via Vinegar hill. Coming towards Rangiwahia with snow down low on the Ruahines was brilliant.

Why does riding your bike to Wellington for a burger need to be a challenge? I'm just suggesting that doing the ride in warmer weather might actually make the ride enjoyable.
But that's just me, I can't really get my head around wearing a half dozen layers just so and you keep from getting hypothermia. I hate it when you're so rugged up you can't move and ride the bike I want too.

If it wasn't for a prior engagement I would have been a definite goer for this one. For me it's probably just to say that I've done it (with no frostbite). I do however like the idea of a summer night capital cruise as well.
