Ok the MP for Rimutaka wants me to take him over the Rimutaka Hill on my Ducati



Issue is I have no spare gear!
How can we find some gear for mr Hipkis to come for a ride???
Says he wants to see why so may of his and his neighbouring MPs find the Hill so wonderful......

maybe AJ should take him on de Buell????

I've been wanting to say, surely the point to get across next time someone is on mic is this: if the Govt. wish to change the the way the ACC is run, from 'no fault' to 'pay according to the risk you take', then they must do this fairly, not singling out a group because it's easy to administer (since they know who's registered a bike) as follows:
1) Not 'according to risk' but 'according to harm done', and
2) apportion that across the whole society

This would charge lower for skydivers than rugby players (who tend to die in accidents, rather than need x-rays and casts for their broken wrists), and higher for car drivers than motorcyclists (who demonstrably do more harm).

Is this is a strong argument?

And where is our official list of arguments, please, so we can all speak with the same voice when asked? There were contributions being made at the wiki, but it seemed poorly supported.

Just been talking with AJ who is happy to pillion anyone on his noisy beast. Wellington Motorcycles would be up for loan gear i am sure.

Make it a Ridge Runners event, and invite Chris on AJ's back seat, to Toppy's for a coffee and take him home again?
