The most important thing for everyone to do is "check your egos at the door" we get one chance to do this in a way that keeps Joe and Joette public on side and send a proper structured message to Parliament.
Then if that doesn't work we regroup and reevaluate our options.
Mr Dobson I assume is a citizen who can act as he sees fit.
He can deal with the Police too. As he'll be in the minority - good luck with that.
Sarge - the blokes with the BRONZ gear represent the best chance of a positive outcome. Support them.

Simple realities here.
firstly, if people want to "ride to Parliament" but don't want to park in the stadium , what is it they think they are actually going to DO.
Reality: The parking in Molesworth St will fill fast , It will hold maybe 500 bikes MAX and less now that they have toughened up on parking on the Cenotaph . Take off disabled space, and marshalls, and you'll have to get there REAL early to get a place even as a wild goose.
Reality: Parking IN parliament grounds itself is not and never has been, an option. Those days are gone. There will be police and guards and such. And some of them WILL be carrying guns. Serious. Trying to force a way in will be a quick entry to a whole world of pain.
So, if you don't want to park in the stadium , and you don't get there early enough to grab a park in Molesworth St, what are you actually going to DO on your "ride to parliament" ? Ride round a bit then ride home without stopping? Park somewhere else and have an even longer walk.

No, your parking 150 Meters from the big house.
500 Bikes shut down a major motorway feed for the north end of the city, so we were asked, and very nicely, by Council, and Police to use the Fran Wilde Walkway for our 'mass' parking
Theres room for 200 or so bikes at Parliament, its a MID week business day with Busses flowing past the only way into that street
Its a reasonable request, and a historical opportunity to hold the BIGGEST rally ever at Parliament, as well as park the MOST bikes ever in NZ at one place
We will be seen, we will definitely be heard, and we have it all officially sanctioned
If we blow this, we stand to lose all credibility, and be labeled forever 'leather clad neanderthal's'
Is a SHORT walk from your Bike (guarded by our Wellington Volunteers) too much to ask???
The parking we DO get at the big house is open to all, but those in the large groups forming in the two main suburban locations are expected to go to the Stadium, where we have a collection for the Free Ambulance Service
And as we have inner city riders and disabled riders coming, I think it only fair they get to utilize the small area there, creating enough chrome and noise to be counted
TV will show the massive bike park at Stadium, the convoys, and our speeches
But if we dont show humility and restraint we give Nick and JK what they want, an angry rabble, with no respect to give, or be shown
Its not a huge ask to use the Stadium, in fact its a fucking blessing, or we would end up with riders walking fucking 5 ks alright, all the way from Courtenay Place, and one very HOSTILE city population who only just forgot the truckies of 2 years ago at last
Just ride.
