    Auckland Christmas Toy Run

Why can't we have something like this?

    http://www.motoring.co.za/index.php?fArticleId=5251615

It is a good cause, good publicity for Bikers, and will get us a more sympathetic ear from cagers.

The police in South Africa close the motorways just for bikes to pass in columns three abreast, at 80km/h for about 45 minutes. The whole event is like a country-wide carnival. ALL bikes are welcome, from scoooters to farm bikes to road bikes, as long as the appropriate safety gear is worn.

I know that we had a similar charity event a few weeks ago, but it was too much of an afterthought (and not close enough to Christmas).

AFAIK, Ulysses (sp) was asked to pay for a permit to do another big ride.

I'm sure someone will correct me if this is wrong.

Dude, what rock have you been living under for the last 27 years or so?

BRONZ annual toy run. famous since eons ago (except to the sublithic population I guess). Well , for 27 years, at any rate.

    See you there.

Thanks Mr Ixion! Those were exactly the details I needed.

Lars (BRONZ Runs Coordinator) also said something like this:

Coffee cart and sausage sizzle will be at the starting point, so arrive early for breakfast. Commemorative badges (a BRONZ fund-raiser) will also be sold at the start and end of the ride.

The primary purpose of this ride is to help the Salvation Army to help the children. Please keep this in mind. However, if you would like to demonstrate your opposition to the proposed ACC levy hikes, you are welcome to tie black and yellow ribbons to your bike and wear your protest vests, T-shirts and flags. Please avoid using strong language on your protest materials for this ride only - think of the children!

errrrmm.... I am still relatively new to BRONZ and in NZ, and have never heard of it before? So I am glad I asked! You should have an advert for it on the home page (Of this site)- since it is coming up soon.
