We had a pre Hunter Vogue wagon - I LOVED that car as it was a 'special' made by Rootes rally car workshop and it went like stink, had OD, rally suspension, badge bar, driving lights and a super cool chrome springy thing radio antenna (factory) but dear god was it rusty...
I too 'worked' for the Post Office....I liked the Chevette...very thrashable...and the Mini's especially in the gravel....The Falcons could lay the rubber if you dropped the clutch at high enough revs.... ( apparently)
