A girlfriend once asked " Why is it you seem to prefer to race, than spend time with me ?"
The answer was simple ! "I'll prolly get bored with racing too, once i've nailed it !"
Bowls can wait !
Maybe the Coroners report into the fatality at Paeroa last year could give you a clue where the bikes on the grid particularly on a street circuit are just so far apart that's it's getting dangerous.
I'd support the organisers making a call to reduce the risks a little than the Coroners putting their rubber stamp on all meetings after somethings turned to custard.

Im totally annoyed by this 'ruling' if it is correct. No longer a BEARs class, but instead a Ducati fest! (dont get me wrong, I love Duc's). I had considered entering my RSV4, Im sure as heck no threat at all to the front runners, but now I dont even have the choice to compete!!
To the Major Sponsor of Tri Series....."what do you class as a BEARs bike?...and maybe you could consider re-naming the class if this is the case?"
Thanks Chop, yeah its pretty unfair, I had considered doing BEARs at Wanga's this year, lucky I changed my mind a couple of weeks ago, cause I would have been WELL disapointed by this news if I hadn't. Still....the option was still there and a consideration for Manfield, but I guess now it's not.
Perhaps, but that would apply to all classes at street races would it not?
Seen plenty of ppl being lapped in most classes.........why single out 1 class?
A good rider on the lastest Duc won't be within cooey of a fast BMW? HA!
Kinda negates your theory really aye.
Keep making rulings like that and my little 450 could be competitive in BEARS!!!![]()
Zen wisdom: No matter what happens, somebody will find a way to take it too seriously. - obviously had KB in mind when he came up with that gem
Artificial intelligence is no match for natural stupidity
If it isn't written into the supplementary regulations you could probably tell them to get lost and enter anyway
CHAPTER FIVE
b. “Acceptance of the entry form is at the discretion of the club or promoter and may
be declined by the club or Promoter. The Club and/ or Promoter must ensure that
the declining is in good faith and for valid reasons.
So whats the valid reason?
WOW those bmw's must be so fast to be banned, i wont buy any other brand from now on and must go test ride a new BMW tomorrow.......
Heres the deal with what the organisers spoke to Choppa about today. We rate Choppa, and a couple of others, as (in his case F1) genuine title contenders for the Tri Series. Its because of this fact that we felt (along with a host of feed back from people from last years series(competitors and non-competitors alike)) that he had an unfair advantage getting double the track time (and hence double the set up time) than his rivals have. We run one day meetings, and track time is very precious for everyone and to us it just seems fair that genuine title contenders all get the same time to sort their kit out, and not get bonus time just because their bike is built somewhere other than Japan. Theres a lot of people and businesses putting in a great deal of money to run at that pointy end of race classes, and the fairer we can make it for ALL the better. I'm sure if the shoe was on the other foot and Choppa was sitting in his pit garage on race day watching rivals like Cole, Stroud, Shirriffs, Bugden etc roll down pit lane for another "Land of the Rising Sun" race class practice, he would feel a little hard done by. The ruling we are making on this class effects maybe 2 or 3 people I would think (John Ross to name another). Nowhere have we said that BMW S1000RR, Aprilia RSV4s, Ducati 1198Rs are no longer welcome in this class. And we welcome Choppa to ride Bears - but on another bike other than his F1. He has agreed to ride the HP2 in Bears, and thats great. Maybe he'll still win on that anyway - but at least he hasn't had extra track time to sort out his F1 bike to F1 title rivals.
So, we welcome entries from people riding S1000s, RSVs etc. And those people are welcome to enter whatever other class their bike might suit - be it F1, F2 - whatever. And as far as the comments go that this is Suzukis doing - it isn't!! In fact, you can thank them for Bears being included in the Tri Series. We weren't originally going to run them again, but Suzuki liked the idea of a "point of difference" class.
Thanks for clearing that up...I think it's more than fair!
