    Speed on a 250

clocked at 150-155 range on my Zeal on the freeway, on 5th gear, the 6th does not really do that much (its more of a cruise control mode). Some says it would do an easy 180, i have always doubted that.

haha yea I doubt it too. Depends on your weight and aerodynamics eh. My fully faired CBR250R with exhaust and tune, and its engine in good condition really didnt make it much past 160.. maybe 170 with a tail wind or down hill and really head down/elbows and knees tucked in I weigh 87kg.

When I ran it without fairings that would be cut down top speed heaps, prob to the 150 mark and you wouldn't get much more out of it no matter how much you tucked in.

I'd say 150-155 is about what your going to get. you could always fit nitrous.. http://www.ebay.com/itm/NOS-05029-Sn...item5d315e0d5a

CBR250's get clocked at a bit over 190km/h real speed, some have bumped 200.
I've had them off the speedo (indicated speed = meh)

A Zeal should be good for around 165 on a really, really good day.

    Ninja 250R

    150Km/hr with 14/45 Sprockets, 170 Km/hr with 15/45 Sprockets..... 140/60 Rear Tyre.....

So, about the same as a ZX10 in first gear.

I got 155kph out my near brand new xl250 1996 model maybe its the torque more than the hp

Look the worlds fasted indian no am not meaning somone had a curry

or vincent 1000cc more to speed than multi engine or being latest and greatest ?

Mind you the speedo might been way out , i got such blasting by the wind i whouldint call it it fun

What is it with small bikes you just want see what they can do much more fun than big bikes

Even if its my old xl 100 k2 its 80kph by the way dont laugh to much

I wonder what modern 125 cc or 150 say the new cbr 250 r will do much more intresting than going

fast going fast with less that takes planing and much better than hitting it with horse power

haha, on paper the specs say it should hit 180-200. So no doubt. I couldn't get 3 to do that without a loong straight. They seemed to drop off at 160 if I remember. It has been years now. Anyway - from a Zeal I wouldn't expect much is the point

I've had plenty of them off the end of the speedo.
But, some get horrid power delivery problems, I rode on that bogged between 10-17,000rpm...now that was shit.

Factory spec is 165 kph. So over the years its lost 25ks. 1 per year. Our the tester was a 15kg kid on a really long downhill. Not a 40 something thats over a 100kg.
