Two Moto Kiwis Adventure Ride, May 3rd 2012 -> 20XX Prudhoe Bay Alaska -> Ushuaia Argentina -> Then Wherever We Point The Bars
Watched the report on TV last night. Fook, that's a disaster. Some poor pensioner was barreled out of his living room into the front paddock by a flash flood. Devastating.
The place I mentioned on Wed having the boulders on the drive?
If you dug down 3m you might get to see some boulders...
Just saw the devastation on the news, hang in there guys..... for what it's worth, you have my sympathies.
Bit damp hereabouts. The slips and runoff from the Grampians (Tukuka St and north) disappeared into the stormwater drains at Waimea Rd and popped up at our intersection. Fortunately on our side of the street it didn't breach the kerb, as it did on the other side all the rest of the way down Motueka St to Vanguard. But it did flood our downhill-side neighbour's drive with silt.
Big slip on Whakatu Dr between Beatsons and Annesbrook Rds last night. Not game to take the lad for our regular walk up to to the Grampians tower tomorrow - everything's going to be a bit unstable for a good few days.
I suspect there'll be some significant changes on our favourite playgrounds after this one. Lots of big changes to streamways already reported.
Cheers,
Colin

Oh no, big problems on the estate.
Just did a recce round the section and have found that the rain has munted all the roses. Worse they are laying all squished up over the paths.Bugger.
I think Wairoa gorge may be interesting, mind you may not get much time this weekend. See above.
I mentioned vegetables once, but I think I got away with it...........
Hell, you guys better get out there and get all your tracks groomed before our South Island visit![]()
anyone know if the big water dump extended down into Rainbow area? What the state of the road and crossings will be like if it has?
