Ah, fair enough then, I'd thought they were considered a major component.

Need to hurry up and replace my viffer's clutch so I can get out on the track this winter.

interesting because the forks in mine are the original damper rod forks with modification with a valve: a cartridge EMULATOR. so its extra bits, not different bits? to be honest, if I took the racetech stickers off the forks it would take a tear down to verify it. I dont race, its just a trackday bike so no issue anyway.

    25.5.4 Forks
Upside down forks are prohibited unless originally fitted to the bike model in the period. Forks must be period items. Internal spring and valving modifications are permitted.

Ok so you use '89 forks. How far could you stretch "Internal spring and valving modifications" I wonder. Get the biggest diameter forks available in 89 and see what you can do to fit cartridges inside ha.

Yip - that's pretty much it! Though anything else other than a RVF rear costs serious $$. I think Dymag have started making 3 spoke NC30 wheels again or PVM will make you a set for something crazy like 2k euro

I gots the '86 with the cam sensor, the bit that swings past it to tell the bike to fire, somehow broke off & got chewed up in the bike.
Posted some pics awhile back you'll find the chewed up parts here
And pics of the boken cam where they originated here

Hey Steve, where did you get the parts from. I still need tp organise a pulse generator assy to replace my home made jobbie that in mine at the mo to check the rest of motor. Found one exhaust was loose where it bolted to the head this morning. Tried to tighten without removing motor and finished up with a broken stud. So motor comes out tomorrow.
Hopefully you will find no more suprises after the cam is fitted

Nice, good stuff! I was wondering the other day what state the bike was in.

Did you end up pulling the sump off or anything?
