Spies is feeling the heat, but not as much as Rossi.

Ducati ignored the comments of all the riders who had trouble, when Melandri told them the bike was no good Ducati directed him to a psychologist. When Stoner won, the bike was obviously great. When he crashed it was his fault. So nothing was done to sort things until Rossi arrived.

Melandri has had a recent rant in the Italian press. We'll need to wait for an accurate translation but apparently he is angry with Ducati for not listening to the riders, and he's angry with the press for blaming him for the shortcomings at the time. It was only when Rossi failed to get to grips with the bike that the Italian press acknowledged there might be problems with the bike.

It seems though that there are only two problems with the Duc: the engine, and the frame.

great qualifying session if only becuase it was changing all the time with the weather....fast times being set early in case the rain came...but dry pole positions...probably means bugger all if the race is run in the wet.

the honda looks twitchy for both stoner and pedrosa.....just saying

i agree with above, spies is under big pressure to perform...he would be better to make sure he finishes each race and then finish top 4....anything after that would be a bonus...

my pick for change is Pedrosa....can't believe honda will keep him another year if he doesn't challange for the win....which he is doing now but needs to stay there or......

lorenzo was awesome this morning.....top speed he is about 9th...smooth as......hard to believe he said it was scary out there....

wet race will be totally different though.....so who knows......

I think he'll do well in the race. Sounds like he felt the need to deliver an intact bike onto the grid after Qatar and that's what he's done. Unspectacular but safely there.

Well it's 9:00am in Jerez. Just about to start the Moto2 warmup and it's sunny with a bit of cloud around and a dry track. Let's hope it stays that way. Unless you're a Valentino tragic... in which case bring on the fire, brimstone and floods.

Not enough if they gonna shit themselves in four laps by the sounds of it
On a Motorcycle you're penetrating distance, right along with the machine!! In a car you're just a spectator, the windshields like a TV!!

'Life's Journey is not to arrive at the grave safely in a well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, totally worn out! Shouting, ' Holy sh!t... What a Ride!! '

Not bad moto3, they did drop like flies though, conditions seem to be staying the same

Nice one fenati! Maybe we do have another Italian shining light?
Bit rough on the champagne, could at least give him sparkling grape juice!

Shit man, looking at him after warm up , Rossi is really just a shell of a man.

I donated Pete to put $10 on someone - guess who he went, then put $10 on pedrosa, $5 on Hayden.

first few laps were really good and the last, seeing if lorenzo could take stoner

Did make me laugh though, it seemed like stoner was fucking with lorenzo, letting him get closer, closer, showing him a way through and then just fuckin off another 0.5s faster in the last laps. What a mind fuck....I beat you at the track I'm known to do shit on, one of your home tracks.
But I definitely don't see lorenzo backing off, if anything I think I will give him more fire!
