Aspies are attracted to psychopaths and vice versa... they are opposites so yeah, opposites attract. I have an immediate relative who is such. Genetically they are on the same spectrum of imbalance of self, though at the other end to an aspie, who does have empathy, but does not generally show it.

Those with a 'normal' amount of relational intelligence can see through the psychopath, for what he/she is.
Aspies may be gullible and too trusting, believing in the goodness of others and trust focused.
Also lonely, lonely old people are often the victim of psychopaths, sometimes their own spawn
