New CTS seems to have fixed the 97 a4.

Still trying to get my head around that 2000 a4 though, its like someone gives the underneath of the car a thump with a sledghammer every now and then.

I'd hit any VAG product of that era with a sledgehammer not the best cars out there.

Im hearing ya, bit hard to tell someone you didn't like their car, so you smashed it up with a sledgehammer.

I do it all the time mate, then give them the bill
Today I am going to polish some parts for the rally car, seeing as it's all ready and waiting several weeks early. May change teh oil as it's got a few hours on it now and set the clearances.
Need to fix an intermittent issue with one of the intercom plugs too, so I'll just replace the bugger

Phew, luckily you didn't specify it had to be home-made cake. Me and the oven are both useless at that. But can probably find some cake somewhere

Today I looked at my bike, as I have done everyday for the past three weeks. I must organise a overnighter somewhere soon with a few invited friends. No time to ride during the week, or weekends for that matter. Work until 6pm on Monday-Saturday and until 9pm on Sundays. We do however, get to take four consecutive days per month so we must use that time to ride.

... made a decision. It's the first step on a journey, but every journey starts in this way. There is much to do but I'm aware and ready. I shall undertake the journey, knowing it will be difficult. Most definitely the path less trodden.

And so, to step two... Wish me luck!

    Check for niggers,

Alternatively, trans mount, driveshaft coupling, and uni joints, etc. Plenty of joints and mounts to go funny on one of em

And rear subframe bushes. A bugger to sort (drop rear axle, etc), but worth the effort.
