i would confidently say that i estimate that approximately 100% of the tickets i have had have been for speeding, i will further that with 95% of the tickets i have had were for speeding on a motorcycle, only ever had one speeding ticket in the car and that was from a moments inattention with the car on cruise control going down the nelson side of spooners range.
so going by the dogfood logic i should be dead as i speed a lot

I know a lot of people who speed and some who do quite high speeds and have yet to see any of them drop dead whilst doing so.
now being stopped suddenly by some hard to move object, now that can kill you

You should be dead, for being a fucken dick.

Speed is not deadly, if someone knows what they're doing an applies thought to the process. I am pretty sure the cops, and whoever coined "speed kills" knew that. But since they don't get to enforce that drivers/riders be trained to do so competently, it's easier to just keep them traveling a bit slower and make do with what they've got.

Reg/wof, license, wheelies, burnouts, all sorts really. I've only had three tickets for speeding I think. Maybe four.

I'd be pissed with that catch too Rastuscat...thought the bait was good!

ps...are you asking us to start drink riding etc so we fit in with the 20%?...so we don't take up your time or focus? (Glad to see 80% of your job has nothing to do with actual criminals tho!...and to think we used to worry about you lol)

I have to admit, 100% of my tickets have been for speeding, that's a grand total of 2, in almost 24 years...... Oh I am such a friggin criminal, huh?

Nah. I write bugger all speed tickets as I've fallen victim to the carping on here.

Or maybe I agree with a lot of whats said.

I still write a few if it's in places where crashes happen, as when a crash happens (for whatever reason) the faster the speed, the worse the outcome.

As noted, just trollin really. Every thread with speed as the subject gets plenty of response. Interesting. Pity people didn't care as much about the fuck ups that cause crashes, like overtaking on the left in stupid places.

    Just sayin.

Allow me to add some context.

I was in a meeting with a MSAC bloke the other day who had a MSAC report sitting on the table. I noticed a stat on the page it was open to, that 80% of the tickets for motorcyclists were for speed.

Just dropped it on here to inflame the debate once again. Always a chance to hear the populations views.

You'd be surprised how much the chat on here (yes, even Skoobers and Akzles) informs the opinions I hold. That's why I occasionally post stuff on here, to see what people think. If I didn't care, I wouldn't bother.

Isn't that simply because it is speed that the law enforcement officers target?
Surely it is one of the easier things to target and by far the most targeted offence?
