$8,000 buy-now for a very unlucky SR that got a severe (and probably extremely expensive) beating with the ugly stick. Those gaps between seat and tank and then tank and steering head make my eyes hurt. Not to mention the cheap-shit tinny lights and chromed plastic indicators.

Never understand why people feel it necessary to ditch the sidecovers, it just looks strange and you can make them look great as they are. Doesn't even have any decent running gear on it.

I think it was one of the last ones done by the Auckland Deus Ex Machina/Shed 5 group and it was a quick and nasty way to dispose of a donor bike and a bunch of left-over parts.
I'm not sure if the exhaust setup makes me want to laugh, puke or cry... for a lot less money you could build one hell of a bored-out, cammed, FCR'd, properly sprung SR that would be a real hot-rod bike.

agree entirely. the only thing I like about it is the red metalflake paint on the tank.

I have seen them for $8999 brand new including onroads. some judicious mods and a nice little city bike. I really like the Scramblerised ones... though for the money you may as well buy an old XT500. except kickstart. I have a dent in my shin from kickstarting one when I was 15. And weighed maybe 55kg......

I'm 25 and weigh 54 kilos. My SR has a 10:1 Wiseco in it and standard is 9:1 - I actually have to jump and throw my whole body weight into that kicker when the damn thing is hot!

When I was 19 I was a skinny 60 kg and could kick the TT500 ok . a ride on a mates XR500 was infinitely harder, but seat height was also an issue.

Its actually technique. One I did not have at the time...... the wee window in the top of the motor was useful though.

I've owned both and neither were difficult IF YOU KNOW WHAT YOU ARE DOING...
On the other hand my Maico 490 with its left hand kicker could be a total cunt when it was cold.

Wonder why tank painted without removing dings. Number plate seems to be lacking. For that price I would want the whole thing.

Is it me but does everyone with a 20+ year old bike think they have a highly collectable now. Half are not even road legal.
