as for bantams being not wanted, they have always been sought after in some way or another, cause people made memories of them.

There was an old dude rode a Bantam when I was a kid, on his way home from work he would turn the gas off as he went past our house and his bike would stop running as he arrived home. He had it well worked out.

Present day, there is a 1%er up about where the old dude used to live, he owns Harleys now but his first bikes were BSAs and he currently has one as a restoration project. Past conversations suggest he would jump at the chance to buy a Bantam.

I can see the appeal even if I don't want one.

The last line was a joke of course suggesting we all off and buy some dreary bikes of the 80s

But OK let's talk about your bikes, from memory one would have to say they were largely game changers. Astute buys at the right time if one did only consider them investments. But I don't remember any CB400Ns or suchlike.

Anyway now finally the small people are finally, mostly asleep after some protracted protest, I must go set the valves on an 80s GSXR400 I want out of the garage and back to its owner.

I'm still hankering for an RD400. Largely credited as the First mass production bike with mags. But I'd prefer the G which was the last air -cooled of run. Maybe more a game ender?

I'd buy a Bantam. I even checked TM after reading the post.

Yamaha started in 1887 but pianos or even bicycles aren't motorbikes.
