Refrigerated truck unit be more practical, reefers would need electricity/generators and a suitable area to lay them down in a practically accessible area. Shocking layout and parking arrangements at most our hospitals would make it difficult.

WHY is it SO HARD to find the data on how many people in NZ NEEDED hospital treatment for this.
This number has to be actively suppressed as ALL the other data comes up very EASY in searches.
The answer is so people don’t ask WHY are we scared.
Can you imagine a Pandemic being declared of the PM said oh by the way 93% of you that actually manage to contract the virus won’t need to go to hospital just stay home and rest.
Nothing else matters the maths tells the story, especially post lockdown any new cases should have spread massively as everyone suddenly enjoyed a watered down form of freedom.
And just think of all those Asymptomatic cases in the 3,800,000 people that have NOT been tested...
There should be another 6600 odd positive cases, another 400 extra in hospital and another 75 people dead, where are they????

Well it seems the MORE deadly and MORE contagious delta variant failed to deliver... just think about that, the infected person came on a flight where people would have taken masks off at times to eat and drink and all shared the same inflight tier facilities. THEN they sauntered all over a MAJOR metropolitan area and thefe was no outbreak.

Possibly not. This area trucks all rubbish to the Manawatu. The problem seems to be contamination getting into the ground water. Corpses would be unlikely to be safer than household rubbish.

It's not just here, the Canterbury Plains would be unsuitable, as would other major areas of the country.

Yesterday I read an article that said COVID has entered the white tail deer population in the US. That means it ain't over when it's over. The virus, or mutants thereof, can return to humans from the deer population at random points in future. Marvellous.

If liarbour had looked at the rest of the world, they would have seen the development of the virus. The DHB's had already prepared for larger numbers of deaths at the initial outbreak, but were delayed by the results of the initial NZ lock-up.

Don't worry about delta being "above the Bombays"... it is coming to a town near you very soon!

But more than 50 people were currently dying every week from Covid-19.
