Wouldn't this be better? I saw 300 the other night, boy it was cool and their helmets looked waay better than the silly German WW2 ones.
Why only German helmets? Be different. Be a Spartan!

Whoa - While thats true, I think thats taking things a step too far. I would not wear a WWII german army helmet and frankly neither would most german motorcyclists I know! Its a powerful symbol of a hated political system and no amount of exagerated PC bollocks like that will change it. A swastika falls into the same group...

I actually work for a Japanese company and modern japanese are very sensitive about the whole thing. Dreadful things were done by administrations and all combatants but my Japanese friends would be horrified if I flew a rising sun flag and started shouting BANZAI everytime I went over the top!

I believe in personal choice, it's what the great wars were fought to achieve - out of respect, I choose not to do that, it's your decision and we are all entitled to an opinion about it.

that was exactly the point I was making

ditto the point about disrespecting people by wearing nazi helmets, that also was taking things too far

WW2 was 60 years ago and was fought to give people freedom of expression and freedom of choice

    No it wasn't.

The values that WW2 was fought to preserve are not something that many people under 70 would understand.

In fact I would go as far to say that WW2 was fought to prevent freedom of expression and freedom of choice on ALL sides.

The German Helmet is in mammothly bad taste. Wearing it on a metric cruiser whilst riding through any Gang territory is inviting the same sort of issues SlashWylde faced when he put the Black Label Society logo on the back of his jacket.

If a man is alone in the woods and there isn't a woke Hollywood around to call him racist, is he still white?

im sure it would have the same affect on a POW held by germans if there was a bus load of germans around. if u have seen someone that was held by the japanese scared by japanese voices you would know what im talking about which i why i brought it up. i doubt a japanese helmet would cause any reaction

i diidnt bring cars or bikes into it so whats your point there

That would be a WW1 German helmet then

I think they look great personally, im a big WW2 history buff but wouldn't wear one myself due to the safety side of things but mainly the image thing. They really don't suit a sports bike, gotta be a nasty ol cruiser

First of all I am not getting the German helmet to disrespect anyone, I just like the design of the helmet that's all, i don't like hitler or care about that kind of stuff,

Just want to really have a german helmet for summer, I already have a full face,

I did actually manage to find one, had it imported from the US.
Good on ya mate, just prolly best not to wear it round to the misses parents house
To laugh often and much; to win the respect of intelligent people and the affection of children; to earn the appreciation of honest critics and to endure the betrayal of false friends. To appreciate beauty; to find the best in others; to leave the world a bit better whether by a healthy child, a garden patch, or a redeemed social condition; to know that even one life has breathed easier because you have lived. This is to have succeeded

Oh good lord! The trolling grounds are 3 threads down, inflamatory comments, 3 post on the right... You ARE free to choose to wear a German helmet or rape little children in that there is no one or thing actually stopping you but there are consequences for your actions - some legal, some physical and some moral . Total freedom of choice for everyone is anarchy which traditionally does not work out terribly well for minorities (like motorcyclists...) and mother nature takes a very dim view of people that flout her laws... You are free to try though..

No, paint the mouth on, all good.
I wonder how long before some nutter makes them DOT-legal. Gotta be a huge market there.
