What, that's all a bit of a laugh to go out with your mates and get some pis of some "impressive cornering" on a public street?

Those pics send a shiver up my spine... and makes me think if some of those motorcyclists won't get a chance to grow up.

Shit happens. People make mistakes when they're riding. Happens to the Rossi's the learners and everyone in between. The fact that EJ is big enough to admit he pushed it too far speaks volumes about his willingness to learn to be a better (and safer) rider.

Maybe by sharing his experience he's actually helping others learn from his mistakes. Had you considered that?

Id have to argree with you on this discotex.....Im still yet to do my first but know it will happen sooner or later and reading these reminds me just how easy it is to push it....

Why? There is no God ordained law that says every rider must crash.

It may be worth reflecting on what the result could have been had that truck been in a different place. Crashes are never clever, never funny, and not inevitable. Sometimes shit happens, even the best riders can't get it right every time, and sometimes the Biker Gods just gang up on someone. But it's never "a bit of fun".

And now theres a poor little Yamahappy that's bent and broken. . 'Tis sport for thee, but it is death to the frog.

Yep you might just drop the bike at the gas station but something will happen and you'll think "bugger that was stupid" then you'll learn from it and move on.

Actually yeah it is a bit of a laugh but not in the way you mean. More in the way that you look back on something and laugh at how silly you were as your mates take the piss out of you and you resolve to never make that mistake again.

I agree it's pretty stupid to set up a shot but it can be done safely (hell the magazines all do it and no-one boycotts them). As long as there are spotters to make sure the traffic is clear and all that you can make it safe(er).

Maybe that can be a lesson learnt out of this.. Rather than just slagging them off you could give them some advice.

That's some funny shit. So glad you read it then, must mean then you are going to bin it later rather than sooner.

The mentality that you got to bin to learn how to not bin really takes it to a whole nuuva level.

Binnings not like virginity bro, we won't ridicule you if you don't get your first.

Ok. EJ, your photo actually tells quite a story.

It shows a bunch of young guys with poor rider skills (not to mention camera skills!) and self-control having a bit of a lark on their bikes for the camera. All these combinations unfortunately can add up to disaster as bravado usually overpowers what little commonsense and ability there is at the best of times. What next? A race over some local twisty road next Friday night with your mates to see who can get rid of their chicken strips?? It only takes one moment of bad judgment in the adrenaline pumping excitement coupled with peer pressure for it to go all horribly wrong. This is not a safe environment or mindset for anyone coming to grips with motorcycling.

I would strongly recommend you to choose your riding companions very carefully, or better yet stick to riding on your own, at your own pace that you feel comfortable with, without those other outside pressures.

Motorcycles are not fun toys, and roads are not some kind of personal playground. You need to take it very seriously or it could bite you in the butt one day.

FFS: Anyone else wanna have a go at him? So many people's own shit don't stink eh? Just remember all of those people criticising EJ that your comments are written here and will remain here for a long time, so let's hope we don't hear of any crashes, traffic offenses, wheelies, or admissions of silly stuff from you guys in the future too eh?
