I think he is just getting pissed off that as a tax and ACC levy payer he has to contribute to all the fuckwits that suffer more severe injury and prolonged rehab because they were stuopid, and we all have to pay for their rehab and care. The actions of others are in a way all our business becasue we pay premiums, taxes and levys to support the NZ no fault scheme and a public health system.

Stupid in the 100km.h areas BUT!!

When I've got the VTR1000 out with all my gear on (and I have the full kit) most bikers will give me a wave or at least wave back.

Today I was taking the wife on the back for a 10min ride to the beach for coffee only thru 50k zones so all we wore was helmets and gloves.... plus regular jeans, jumpers and sneakers. To get to the beach I've gotta go through the lights on SH1 still a 50k zone... and no bugger would wave or wave back. I even got a guy on a Suzi Bussa shaking his head at me, I'm picking because it was SH1 they assumed I was going on trip with no gear.

For right or wrong, I never fully gear up for a 50km/h short trip but the responce I got today from other riders obviosuly wasn't welcoming.

Personally I don't give a flying fuck what anyone thinks of my riding kit. It has never even crossed my mind.

If it makes them not wave, Then that's a bonus as well.....not that I would notice.

I don't like the bit where the tough guy starts to cry when the grafts aren't taking and there is puss, blood and shit all over the place. Then the surgeon comes in and says sommit like "You ground it down to the bone son, and of course, because there's bone missing, it's hopeless, and we need to amputate"......

    "WTF??"

    "yes, both of them"

You won't look so cool on your Chinese mobility scooter mate. 4 kph max, downhill....Yahh, freedom to do what you want so fill your boots!...

    who cares.
if i choose to ride in shorts, singlet and jandels i will.
    i'd also at times prefer,and do,ride without a skidlid.
when i do i'm more than careful.
luckily haven't come to grief yet.
    but then it's my choice.
nout like the wind in your hair,or cross your baldhead.

Actually, few people realise (probably cos so few have ever ridden bare headed), that the major downside of riding without a lid is that if it rains the water runs down the back of your neck like mad. Really annoying.

Its a tiny step to people who think motorcyclists should be banned because "they" have to pay for their injuries.

Injuries which can fuck you up no matter how much you spent on a helmet and suit.

Should these people be allowed to stop us on the road and hassle us for our dangerous behaviour?, Or does the mere act of buying a biker suddenly endow a person with righteousness.

I'd love some wanker to try and tell me what to wear, and I wouldn't give a damn if they rode a bike or a dildo.

I think the downside is it hitting you in the face, it hurts like fuck any speed more than walking pace

The answer was simple ! "I'll prolly get bored with racing too, once i've nailed it !"

Same reply to the same scenario (again).

If you want it to be freedom of choice, then all you have to do is sign the waiver that says that you opt out of the "system" and take full responsibilty for your actions.

That means that when you come off, Ambo, Police and Fire just leave you where you lay, better still don't turn out at all ... because the system has to pay for them.

Great idea, I take it this would be applied to anyone who rides a motorcycle? Its a dangerous activity after all. perhaps it can be a condition on getting a motorcycle license.
