I just thought that explained it fully but I'll spell it out. He talks about arrogant loud mouths and in the same post jokes about hunting people down and inserting the ol army boot to el spinchter... Nothing personal, Sarge but if anyone here has posts that would give the impression of them being an arrogant loud mouth, its you.
'Internet tough guy' would have been more entertaining. :-P
In real life Sarge sounds like the guy pictured in his avatar - after 10 years smoking Rothmans unfiltered and drinking Budweiser in a tough bar in the Philippines.
Direct - but you always know where you stand.

No offense BD, but (1) Australia's hardly the place I look to for "how to deal with new stuff happening on the Internet", as their govt approach seems to usually be right out of the Victorian Era, or perhaps the 50s, and (2) when you quote a Sydney lawyer bemoaning the lack of "real world" consequences for nasty things said on the internet you really should pay more attention to the saliva oozing from the corner of his mouth. More internet lawsuits and the legal precedent to support them are the very currency of his wet dreams, regardless of the actual consequences for society if such a thing were to occur.
... and that's what I think.
Or summat.
Or maybe not...
Dunno really....![]()
I don't mind the videos, if those people want to risk their lives on public roads where anything can go wrong (especially if you watch the hayabusa vids) then that's their problem.
Ya don't have to watch it.
Besides, I'll never have the balls to break 120.![]()

Generally speaking, I agree with what Katman says - not always, but most of the time.
I always agree with what he is trying to achieve, i.e reduce the number of people who kill/maim themselves on a motorcycle (keep my ACC levies down) and his methods are the source of hours of amusing debate in these annals.
However, in this instance I am nervous.
In this case he is getting into the areas of censorship, civil liberties, big brother stuff.
We have just disposed of a government that I was pleased to see go for several reasons but mostly because (in my opinion) they spent too much time meddling in areas of my life where I believe that a goverment has no business being.
Now Katman seems to be heading for the same regions
I don't know where the line should be drawn and it probably varies from person to person, but this makes me nervous.
I may not be as good as I once was, but I'm as good once as I always was.
I'm on that road too mate, could easily become my problem too ;/
I think I win for the girliest and slowest bike videos, as Renegade Master eloquantly put it, "Video Diary, what are you a girl!?" ...I wish! Some of the fast videos are nice to watch, if only for a self reflection "hehe, I wouldn't do that on my bike!". But as people have pointed out, blessed with two or more brain cells we all can clearly figure out what is stupid and what is sensible.
IMO a tad over reaction to warrant it's own thread but warrantable to mention never the less, because you *know* there is some kid out there who can't think for himself and is now thinking "Hmm, maybe I should slow down a bit and give myself some room to breathe in the corners!".
