My guess would be that he was either:
1. over 70 years old and suffering from pneumonia.
or
2. Gay

Seriously - I can fit leather or cordura pants under the seat of my scooter to keep me warm and dry. A big weather protective skirt seems just a wee bit too

homosexual for my tastes.

I'd rather ride a 'Lynx' than a 'Dylan'. If a guy say "I am going for a ride on my Dylan" how do you not think

? Do you say: "So how old is your Dylan, and what does he do for a job?"

Oh dear.
He was (at a guess) in his late 20s / early 30s. He looked non-ghey, but I suspect you are right. He was riding a Burgman, or Burgman-esque scroter.

Well, nothing wrong with a Burgman - but a Burgman in a skirt?

How does a man look non-ghey? I thought only gays had gaydar, I certainly don't have it! As far as I'm concerned any dude could be into dudes, especially if there are signs like riding a scooter with a skirt - only assless chaps would be gayer.
