Hi I've been in kb for a while been on a couple of rides but just dont have much time for computers [rather read a book or go for a ride] anyway I've just picked up a zxr 250 for my 16 year old son and am haveing trouble finding affordable insurance for him only want third party. Anyone out there got any insurance companys to reccomend . Thanks
Call kiwibike insurance. They are brokers. http://www.kiwibike.co.nz/
They will find you a chur deal for yo' fellas day.
Swann Insurance do third party motorcycle.
Ride it until the wheels fall off...
Yes I went with kiwi bike who got me swann. It worked out cheaper then going through Swann direct.... I still dont know why???
and Swann was very fast with my claim 48 hrs.
If you are behind me
Dont ask as I am lost too.
I got mine through Kiwibike who got me a cheap deal through Swann as well. Even cheaper than what Swann offered themselves. They were the pick of the bunch for me.
I had a lot of trouble finding someone to insure me as I'm under 25. Most places wouldn't even give me third party. I ended up getting full insurance through Kiwibike - it's a little over $300 a year. But my excess is HUGE - $1250. I unfortunately have a licence and age excess. But next month when I turn 25 and go for my full that'll drop.
Good luck!
Call Tim at John baker for a quote, 0800 65 62 64.![]()
+1 for kiwibike from me. I'm over 25 but my insurance was a bargain - very happy
Please help keep me in leather and on tarmac - it's good for my ego

Tried em all on the weekend, was insuring a 2008 250 cc machine, State was the cheapest with full agreed cover, but they did not pay for/arrange transport from breakdown/accident to a place of repair, or to home.
So went with Swann got it for $250.00 odd full cover, average excess, great deal.
Tried Bakers and Kiwibike, both over 4 hundy.

Wish I knew why, but at the time thats what I was quoted, there was no hurry to insure I was just pricing but with the deals being offered I was mildly shocked and disappointed that I didn't go with either of them.Glad to hear you got cover, even with that excess it's worth having for all the other costs that you could incur if you did have an off,Good on you guys for trying and getting results.
