My thoughts are - you worry too much about mundane things.

Your life to lose. Not to mention the pedestrians that may or may not step out in front of you - given that location.
But , but but - What do you think the footpath is for?

you assume I don't/haven't - what the fuck has the location got to do with your attitude??

But you being 21 you've been everywhere, done everything by now, my mistake as you were, fuckin gen X.
Me, I am Gen XXXX - in every way.

Weeeellll.... I did think it was an extension of the road when the road was clogged with non-moving vehicles.
Until my brain was befuddled by prescription drugs, and I faceplanted on it when the front tyre found insufficient friction on the grass verge.
It was worse than that time I ran out of motorway and discovered the gravlly bit beside the motorway was 150mm lower than the sealed bit and I was nearly marrooned....

    ... and that's what I think.

    Or summat.

    Or maybe not...

    Dunno really....

That's just worngA. You should NOT be riding on the grass verges. They are for the pedestrians, you have the road and the footpath is that not enough?

Marrooned? Is that a more serious version of being pinked in the doublet?

OMG I thought it was just because I was back on my smaller bike that I was getting carved up so badly but yeah that would explain it. By bad I mean cut off and stuff.

If I meet a fellow motorcyclist at the lights I will not hesitate to throw down in fisticuffs, shirts removed we will battle until only one is standing, this is how the "first to leave" is/should be decided.

100% Agree - I split to the front to get through the traffic congestion, it's why I got pissed off with driving a car in Auckland and bought my scooter. I split to the front whenever I can see that there is enough room to do so and I can do it without hitting other vehicles or making a nuisance of myself, so why not?
