I had thought we could all stay at the Lake Ruataniwha Motor camp which is only 2-3km from Twizel but Ruralmans option (2) looks pretty inviting - plus we will have more privacy than at the motor-camp. (assuming people want privacy??)

You read my mind SD, I'm happy to be a lemming and follow the masses though (if I decide to go as I now have a clash of rides, bugger it all, but I think I prefer to do this)

There's some pretty good station tracks that go right up to the skyline and have huge views from the top - who'd be interested in taking a ride up (even as a pillion if you don't want to take your bike up). If there's enough interest I'll ask.
Probably late on Sat afternoon for about an hour and just before any serious drinking has started - obviously weather dependant.

There'll be no need for camping gear at that option 2 Station Quarters anyway.
Sleeps 20 in 2 bed rooms, with a fully equipped cookhouse.
And of course its almost free.
Geez I'd better check my spelling for the flashing bear!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yep. I think it's more central for the Sunday ride for both cant and Otago groups.

Still have not booked anything so if there's a bunk or the floor anywhere??? I'm going to have to make a decision soon.

    Can we have a vote?
Twizel (or however Dangerous wants to spell it) or Ruralmans shearing shed?

(I know of a fellow biker in Twizel who has a section big enough for all KBers wishing to stay there in a tent)

Hey its shearer's quarters not shearing shed
Yes a poll/vote would be a good idea - do you know how to set that up ??
    Options: Twizel in tent
    Otematata in Shearers quarters
    ?????????????
    Other private arrangements

It doesn't bother me where but I think it would be a lot more fun if we can keep most of the group together on Sat night.

Your spelling is fine, but there should be a comma after the colloquial term "Geez"

You're rather fixated with the bear aren't you? Why is that, have you got something you would like to share with kb?
