Popped in to see Paul again today, he is doing ok, very tired but still positive. He would quite like it if someone has some Billy Connolly on CD that they can spare/copy, or similar comedy types, no KBW or such.

CD format or does he have a laptop? if laptop there are some good ones on video as well.

Update,

Paul's really tired and has had to have a blood transfusion so if we could put a hold on the visiting for the meantime till he's up to it again.

Dover, Vic and I went to see him at lunchtime today but he was asleep. Now I know why.

While we were at the hospital I asked one of the doctors if we could get some liposuction for Dover but unfortunately they only have a 100 litre holding tank. Sounds like a job for Middlemore.

We'll try again tomorrow Motobob. Get well mate.

I checked on him this morning and he was not too comfortable, complaining a mistake had been made during surgery with breathing apparatus down his throat. Apparently something had collapsed damaging the lining and the poor bugger could hardly swallow.
He is still in good spirits and eager to get into a wheel-chair ASAP.
How about supplying Paul's mobile Jill so we can all txt him on Xmas day?

Paul is finally on the up again. It's been a really hard week but yesterday he was up in a wheelchair for the first time and today he even got taken for a walk around the hospital.

He is still pretty tired and is sleeping often but does seem to be a bit more awake in the afternoons and evenings.

He's being transferred to Otara Spinal Unit on the 27th to start rehab but in the meantime is keen for visitors up at Auckland.

So, visitors welcome!
