Hmmm, THIS weekend was use-up with running around as part of the organising committee for our local hot-rod clubs 30th Anniversary rod-run.
Had about 32 cars on the run for the weekend plus another 11 for todays display - good weather and a good run.

(Funney how hot-rodders have 'runs' and motorbike types have 'rallies' eh?)

Got work tomorrow and then for NEXT weekend I'm on night-shift whereupon I drop into a zombie-like state......

Was more than a last minute thing, it was a last minute spur of the moment thing with side ways attachments and (i forgot to recheck the KB board just before I left )...

The list (bad chooice of words maybe... added to my address book...) errr hmmm and txting... invitation only... nah, every one invited there was no intention to exclusive or invitation only... just makes it quicker to organise as not every one is on the forum at the same time especially on the spur of the moment rides like that and the forum can have a big lagg waiting for an answer. Where as texting is a bit quicker and I can group text 10 names at a time (on the pre set list which most dunedin kbers are now on I think I only need tim's cell phone and I am not sure if he has one) The thing with spur of the moment is... there were no plans... on destinations and there was a lot of ummingand arring just before hand. once decided, we texted who we knew were coming.

I ended up going for my morning ride alone, then coming back for the afternoon ride, and missing a couple of posts by minutes... http://quantumillusions.com/biker/node/358

Virago my good man - congratulations - I have never been witness to Dale squirming in such satisfying fashion!!!!! Keep it up - you seem to know which button to push

Seriously though there are times when the website will be out of reach and cell phones/txting comes into its own so I guess we all need to programme in a few numbers so we can contact someone - hopefully you'll get someone who hasn't got their race face on and their phone turned off!!

sprung huh. Look at comming events and see how much activity in Sth (pig) Island compared with whats on up here on the Mainland.

If we bogged up this site with every bike rally thats on (like every fortnight and sometimes more frequent) in the Sth Island we'd take over the bloody site - no we've got too much to do - and then add in all the great off road organized rides which is just about every weekend from Nov to May now. Spoilt we is - you just stay up there DOC man and enjoy the congestion, we're quite happy.
