That man is seriously, seriously deluded. He is overshadowed by hiw own gigantic ego and frankly the man himself is a little underwhelming. However he always appears so smooth and in control in media interviews and makes everything sound so normal and reasonable. he has a talent at being a snake in the grass.
Nail your colours to the mast that all may look upon them and know who you are.
It takes a big man to cry...and an even bigger man to laugh at that man.

    He's crazy.

I'm betting Conan the Barbarian will appear at his next sermon, Behead him in front of his followers, Kill the giant snake in the pit under the alter, Steal the fabled jewel and rescue his warrior princess.

I'll say it again, any religion which "requires" you to tithe up to 15% of net income IS NOT a religion,no matter what bible crap you spout. And (a tithe) is not like a collection plate getting passed round on Sunday at church.Yes donations are asked for but never expected to be a percentage of income.

And how many of yous catholics put a large metal washer in the plate and removed a note or 50c back in the days of 1c,2c,5c and $1,$2 notes.I didn't but brother did a couple of times,he'd place a 20c coin in and palm about $2 of coins, bloody heathen(and he was almost an alter boy).

Also watched 'close up' tonight... very disturbing!! Really does sound like a cult beginning!

One of my staff members is 'born again crew' of destiny church... will have to see if there's one of the 'special rings' on his hand next time I see him

We get along with no problems however was a little concerned in the beginning when I found out about the destiny part after hiring him, seeming as I am openly & very obviously gay but hasn't been any issues. I sure hope he doesn't 'gift' a portion of his wages to them!! Would be better spent on the kids n stuff!

There is a very LARGE billboard on the south eastern highway just after carbine rd that says 'A SUPER city needs a SUPER church' (or something along those lines) with a huge picture of Mr 'I am king' *shakes head*... wish that would 'disappear'!! Those judging eyes lol!

Fairly sure they all do. Don't most churches ask for 10%?

The thing that strucks me is that editing the article and replacing names with Hussain, Hitler or bin Laden wouldn't make it any more sinister.

This is the kind of action that taken place before people arm themselves and do a hell of a lot of damage.

Check this out... from the article
"At a special service during the church's annual conference in Auckland at the weekend, about 700 male members of the church swore a "covenant oath" of loyalty and obedience to Mr Tamaki and were given a "covenant ring" to wear on their right hands"

In the document comes a section entitled "Protocols towards our spiritual father", which takes 1300 words to describe in jaw-dropping detail how the "spiritual sons" shall behave towards their "spiritual father".

If any "son" is honoured either by the church or secularly, he is to mention his "mentors and role models" - Mr and Mrs Tamaki - "because Bishop is one of God's best-known representatives in our country".
Under "Conduct Towards Bishop", the "sons" are told that "Bishop is the tangible expression of God", so they need to understand how to properly approach their man of God "to protect the anointing and not transgress this special relationship".

    ... and it goes on!!!!!

Read it .. this is serious shit.
Settle down, it's no worse than the Third Reich.

    Or the NZ Police.

    Or the National Front.

    Or the National Party even.

I posted moons ago that I thought Brian Tamaki was a dangerous man. My opinion hasn't changed and looking into my crystal ball I would add that as times get tougher, so will he. He's clever, make no mistake.

Any church that asks for financial contributions is bent. That's why my church is so good, I only ask for your bike, your drugs and your woman. Two of which you are welcome to come and collect when I've finished with them.
