Post Westpac Rescue Helicopter Ride (24 February)

EARLY WARNING!!!! The Westpac Helicopter is on the 24th February 2008 which is two weeks later than normal because the Yearling Sales at Karaka Blood-stock Centre are on the first and second week-end of February this year. This was because of the Equine Flu in Australia. Now that you have digested that the start time is 9:00am YES 9:00am arrive by 8:00am please. Hey it will be day-light saving still. It would seem that we are TOO successful and if we want Police assistance the start time will be 9:00am. Now I don't want any bleating about it because Mr Plod is correct we are a 2 hour distuption to the Motor-way and the CBD.

Awesome, thanks for the heads up mate! I can see this dent attendance big time. What a shame. Daylight savings and all that aside, that is very early to leave, some travel a few hours to get to the start.

Great cause, that I personally supprt anyway, been on a few of these rides too........will look at it for next year.

BRONZ got hit with this arbitrary shit from the cops on their last ride. We told them that if they didn't want to be involved, that was fine with us. Just a few mates heading in the same direction, eh. Yes, quite a few mates. We're friendly folk.

The police presence is for thier benefit not ours. So it's damn cheeky of them to start dictating when we ride.

It would be my pleasure Sunhuntin to pillion you again this year! Your a fab pillion and you got some great shots from the back of my bike last year!!

...you do know I have "upgraded" bikes since then ay? Much more stable at low speeds and much more comfortable!

Will have to remember to take my 'camel back' this year!

looks like it will be cheaper to ride up, instead of fly. anyone interested in meeting me somewhere so i dont get lost? ir is there a group riding up from south that could pick me up along the way?

also, does anyone have a spare couch? or a backyard i could pitch in?

i was picturing something like a camel toe, cept on your back... wondering how the hell i was gonna fit if youve got a lumpy back, lmfao. disco... i look forward to being your back warmer once again... you were great fun last year, and what better way to see the city? if i ride, i will still pillion so i can once again take photos.
