    Drink driving at Christmas

    http://www.stuff.co.nz/4327221a6579....lnews_20071217

Over 1%. Cripes...round here at 11pm it must be at least 25%.

The stupid cow who was over the limit when she drove to collect her husband from the checkpoint must surely get the dumbass award of the week.

    How to drink properly

I reckon if you hurt/kill another road user when you've had too much, it equates to premeditation

Sanctimonious twaddle. I always get hammered on Christmas Eve at work and then steal a bike to ride home on the footpath. This year I might steal a Hayabusa.
If a man is alone in the woods and there isn't a woke Hollywood around to call him racist, is he still white?

Any one that gets hurt or killed because some one has alchohol in there system, should be done for MURDER OR ASULT/ CUASING HARM I say!

The best way to stop this shit is, simple, NO ALCHOHOL AT ALL WHILST DRIVING, that way there is no excuse for hurting or killing, just PRISON, by by loosers

If people dont drink and drive, how will most honda riders bring themselves to get on there bikes. Lets face it, for those poor people its gotta be a help.

Pathetic attempt at humor mate. We can't bitch about being run over by pissed car drivers when it appears that a fair %age of kiwibikers regularly have 2 or 3 drinks then "one an hour" and are quite happy to ride a motorcycle afterwards. The legal alcohol limit in this country is extremely high so why push it?

I went to my office do the other night - ended up a wee bit over the limit I would guess.
My wife was tested on the way to pick me up and on the way home again!!!
Not that I would have tried to drink and drive at any other time - but now it's XMas blitz time it's sheer stupidity.

The story that blows me away....is the woman who must drive past my badd posters all the time, as she lives in my suburb, killed her son 2 years ago (drink driving) and is pregnant, just been convicted of her 11th drink driving charge, 3x over the limit on Dec 5, her pityfull defence being its Xmas time and shes down due to the loss of her son, and has made the wrong decision. (Just the one!?)
Which Judge has let her off 11 times? Even after killing her own child!?

The law says because the drink driver doesnt jump in the car intending to kill, there is no intent, so therefore cant be murder...well, I think you all know by now how I feel about that little morsel of info...

I will probably at some point get quite pissed myself this Xmas due to the massive Grief a f___wit has caused my family, but rest assured, I wont be driving bleary eyed around our roads.

I can make transportation plans because Im not a thicky!

Ive learnt by past mistakes that I need to have Dic (ahem...Driver in charge!)..and Taxi numbers in my mobile phone, or if I know its going to be a particularly large night, bring on the sober driver.
    It aint Rocket Science.
    Merry Xmas
