The BBQ sounds like just the go! I favour DE,s place, cause I live close to there, but TMGs is always an option. Whatever we decide, sounds like a winner.

Trust me, I won't be near the limit from neither one nor two beers... The 0.08% blood alcohol limit in NZ is VERY generous - weighing in at ~90 kgs I could most likely drink a bottle of red wine and be legal to drive inside 2 hours.

I limit myself to two beers when riding because I know the effect will be negible. But I do have a no beers at all on open roads or group rides.

And if you're refering to special limits for non-full licensees, I have to let you know that if you're past 25 (or is it indeed 20 or 21?) then that doesn't matter.

    Heya guys & girls..

We have 15 confirmed for the course so far.. thanks to all those who have paid up quick & emailed through their info!! there is still space for a few more.. so PLEEEEASE put the wod out to anyone you know who might be interested.. don't have to be kb'rs !!! & can allow a couple more days for any late comers to pay..

BBQ sounds like a great idea... if we have a choice of venues though.. I would prefer to stay in town.. I know from my own experience of these weekends, I went home very tired as I was concentrating hard all day & it really pays to have a clear head!!

Look forward to catching up with you all in 4 sleeps!!!

That seems to be the general consensus so far... as well as the opinions stated in the thread I've had a couple of PMs saying the same kind of thing.

Sorry timg! But sounds like we'll be firing up the BBQ at mine after the course on the Saturday afternoon - weather permitting naturally, if it's pissing down I doubt anyone will be keen! As with your suggestion though it'll be BYO meat and beverages, and if you feel the need to have some rabbit food (salad)... a) what kind of a man do you call yourself?! and b) if you want it, feel free to bring it along. By taking option b) you acknowledge and accept that you will be hassled mercilessly...

Again, PM me for the address, or just follow me back here after the course. Those who aren't going are still welcome

As a quiet aside, my girlfriend is thinking of getting a couple of female workmates to come along too, so there's an outside possibility of some scenery!!

Well I have to see if I have a bike to attend now

I will wait till I have had a sleep but me an the new beast had a meeting with asphalt about 30-40 minutes ago (0640 ish) and the left hand side is not pretty, neither is my gear for some reason considering the low speed ie 10-20 km.

What a bad start to the day of end of the nights work really bummed out here.
Its not the destination that is important its the journey.

Oh mate, that bites! Hope you're not hurt and that the bike's fixable. Poor beasties both of ya!

I got reminded by my diary (girlfriends are good for that ) that I can't attend the maintenance night tonight either - pre arranged plans I'd forgotten about. So unless you've got another option for doing an oil and filter change I'll just bring mine along next time instead. Gutted

Ah bummer mate, I hope you're all ok! I hope a good sleep will make things seem a bit lighter!

I hope you'll be good to attend the course.

Ugh - sorry to hear that. But, they are "your" scars on her - she will be ok and good to hear that you're ok. I think it's a kind of bonding tradition ~

    Take care (watch for aftershocks)
