Me vs Car - Me still ok

Do I get my grown up bikers' badge now? I had my second ever accident on the way home tonight. The guy in the car I was approaching moved to the centreline of the road, just before a right hand tee intersection. I assumed (makes an ASS out of U and ME) and moved to the left of the lane to underpass him. It was at this point that he indicated to turn left and turned into his driveway - straight in front of me. So as the experienced and worldly biker that I am, I jumped on the back brake and locked up the wheel. Thought "No no don't do that" got off the back and more onto the front with alot more vigour before gently side slamming into the side of the car. I think I sort of bounced off a bit then dropped the bike. I immediately picked up again and turned the key off. He'd got out and was surveying his car. In quick succession the neighbors appeared and he started to tell them how I was at fault! One of the neighbors asked if I was ok...

The Police turned up about 5-10 minutes later (fuck that was quick!) But it was good because the driver was starting to really piss me off - I was stalking up and down the street side trying to remain calm. The cop got me to sit in the car and took my statement. Nothing else to that I suppose - I'll just wait and see what happens now...?

    And now for the damage report;
Front right hand fairing - mounting brackets and fittings busted off.
Headlight fairing - broken around the headlight.
Headlight moulding - cracked may need replacing. (Headlight is in good nick)
Forward mounting bracket - bent to one side needs straightening maybe a bit cut off and replaced.
Radiator - Top pipe busted off, probably just needs to be welded (TIGed) back on - the radiator itself looks ok.
Forks - look ok...? no visible signs of damage and appear relatively straight.
    Front Wheel - looks ok
Indicators - Busted 3 out of 4 of them - they need replacing so it appears a set of four is in order.
    Everything else appears to ok....?

I actually think the car will cost more to fix than the bike. Good job coz he's a cunt. The cop told me all I had to tell him was the incident report number, so that's all I gave him.
He says "I'll fight you tooth and nail to get this fixed" so fuck him. Have fun in the courts you dick!

Oh and I'm ok too! Sore shoulder and thats it.
(shit photo's but they're from a cell phone so that's good enough)

I must not forget - a huge big thanks to KB! Especially AJTurbo and Skunk. AJ was the first who answered the phone (coz he has no life!) and Skunk who answered his call and came to my rescue (about 1/2 a k from my home) and transported my bike back here and helped me take off fairing and mull over the damage or lack thereof. I got off pretty lightly all up. Without the great people that inhabit this place I'd be still sitting on the side of the road not wanting to pay for a towie!

They shall not grow old as we that are left grow old.
Age shall not weary them nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the evening,
    we will remember them

    AArg! Random cage-driving motherfu*kers!
Glad to hear you're ok, and hope you don't get stuck with the bill for underpassing.
When will you be back on the road? A couple of days or a bit longer you think?

Lucky but unlucky too. Given the combined mass (or ampleness as we call it in the trade) you must have scrubbed off significant speed to escape more damage. Crashing sucks but crashing worse sucks more, and well done on the emotion regulation skills. Glad you're still walking the earth mate.

    Bummer dude

Cage drivers will, without any warning, do anything at anytime.

Be no time and you will have the bike fixed and be back out there.

    Glad you are okay.

Yes he did - at the moment he started turning. You expected something else?

Oh dear! Still, no irrepairable damage to man or machine, so that's the main thing.

Never been quite sure how the law qorks there, bit of a vague area.
