    Female riders

Hey I was just curious as to how many women ride motorbikes because I haven't seen very many to this date. My mum rides motorbikes, infact she rides my R6 every now and then. But I have only met a couple other female riders. Howcome? The few female riders I have met were very good riders, but I only ever meet/see male riders.
This is a serious question because I have no idea why not many women like to ride! Most of the girls my age that I have met don't seem to think riding is all that cool.

Well, you've probably met Number One, Str8jacket, Skunk Control, Nasty and I and possibly a few others at buckets, we're all female and ride bikes (and I don't mean just buckets) so there's five there. You probably see female riders everyday, we just don't all go about on our pink bikes with our matching pink jacket and helmet.

Thats right. The "pink bikes with matching pink jacket" are now reserved for the gays

When I stop at the top of the Rimutakas (quite often up there) only on the rare occasion do I see ladies up there. I have seen a lady on her SV650 and one on her Ducati but other than them all it usually is are dudes. I don't have a problem with it as such, but it would be nice to chat to ladies every now and then up there or something!

Yup and you are the ladies I meant! And I totally aggree with the pink bike thing, don't worry that isn't what I meant! I just don't seem to see female riders up the top of the rimutakas or at a red light or something on the way into town. At University I have only seen two girls who ride bikes, one of them rides a Ninja250 and the other rides a cruiser 250 thing. That is out of HEEAAAAPPPPSS of riders.

Theres an amazing amount of chix on bikes - big bikes too! I had no idea.

"I am a licenced motorcycle instructor, I agree with dangerousbastard, no point in repeating what he said."
"read what Steve says. He's right."
"What Steve said pretty much summed it up."
"I did axactly as you said and it worked...!!"
    "Wow, Great advise there DB."

There seem to be quite a few on KB. But yeah you are right. Still very much a minority. Dunno what the answer is as to why more women don't ride. Just haven't been exposed to it or something I guess??

Forget the biker chicks. You'll be far better off getting yourself a normal woman who doesn't actually have a problem with motorcycling, and taking it from there.

Women who are already into bikes are either mannish and odd, or the leavings of some other biker dude who's trained them up and moved on.

Then again, if the idea of either of the above excites you, you're in the right place.
kiwibiker is full of love, an disrespect.
