    Talking Sausages

    Righty-ho.

Here is your chance to have your say about the delights of tube steak.

I have it on good authority, that tonight we consumed the Repsol of bangers, crumbed and fried till golden brown, in fact they are a much loved treat by one in our household. Personally, if I was of that persuasion I would call them the Buell of bangers but I detest these things with a passion that surprises me.

As I am about gagging over the hot frypan a certain member of this household wanders in and says........"God that smells yum"

Now dont get me wrong, I will eat them, and some of them are actually friggen yummy (when you are about starving to death, and there is nothing else to eat) but honestly, who the hell eats these revolting tubes of butchers waste deliberately?

    So, how say you lot.

I like a good sausage and I used to make them so know what can and does go into them, but it's like tomato sauce, I know what goes into that too but still love the stuff. Just make sure you cook them properly before eating.

Yes, I have had the pleasure of "home kill/home made" sausages, and yes they are edible, but honestly

We used to do homekills and were asked to do a few goats which were then asked to make into goat sausages, now those were gross, the smell alone was enough to put me off

Next time your down on the West Coast Mom stop in at Thompsons butchery in Harihari, grab y'self a couple of their bangers then head to the beach to cook em over an open fire. Wrap in fresh buttered bread and enjoy, no sauce needed.
and while your down there pick us up a kilo of bacon please
