WARNING - Akld, West - Bike thieves... caught stealing my bike!!

Title says it all really... Chain your bikes to something if not garaged!!

Just got woken up to FB's flatmate saying 'someone's trying to steal your bike, I caught them n its down the rd'...

I was up outta bed in a flash...

The steering lock etc was still on, they had to pick it up and carry it...

It was only about 10m down the rd.... BUT... windshield snapped right off & gone & one mirror smashed with glass all over bike...

It was a BLUE HOLDEN UTE WITH A TRAILER....

I am so angry So... very very pissed off...

Thankful that flatmate was up n caught them... I owe that chick a huge box of beers...

    So angry.... !!!!!!

will report to local cop shop later on when someone is there...

    EDIT: Details of car:

late model 2002ish Dark blue holden or ford ute, had hard top over tray. two guys mid 30's-ish, couldnt tell ethnicity, was too dark. one had short hair, other guy was driving. towing a silver cage trailer with a wheelbarrow encrusted with concrete in it. presumably a work trailer

Stink LS!! Bloody JAFA's... They'll steal anything not nailed down - Good you didn't lose your bike though
They shall not grow old as we that are left grow old.
Age shall not weary them nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the evening,
    we will remember them

I could be labeled a Jafa (I live on the North Shore) but I don't steal.

Bummer about the sticky-fingered bastards, hope they get nailed.

Hows about a better description of the vehicle and general areal they were operating in?

What pricks, not like they were ther in the middle of the night either from what you said. Thats pretty bold. Big ups to your flat mate.
"I came into this game for the action, the excitement... go anywhere, travel light,... get in, get out,... wherever there's trouble, a man alone... Now they got the whole country sectioned off; you can't make a move without a form."

Paved roads are just another example of wasted tax payer dollars.

It's a shame you couldn't end it with "and now I have some knee caps mounted on the wall, oh I love my trophys ..."

Let us know about the ute and trailer when you can
We childproofed our homes, but they are still getting in.

Seems to be a bit of this going on, GAH what's up with that!
Glad to hear the bike got save, bugger it was slightly damaged as a result.

Yep it's pretty sad that bikers have to be more careful with security or their baby gets pinched.

We'll make sure the new property in Invervegas has ample garage space (seen a few online with 4 car garages), one of our family cages always got relegated to the street, we'd rather the bikes were all safe and out of the elements anyday.
Lusting after 2 wheels over 4 anyday
