May I suggest heading East- http://www.metservice.co.nz/default/...ias=dannevirke
Hastings is ment to be getting up to around 15 degrees C and sunny. Plenty of nice back roads over that way.

3 Kwakas and a lone Honda departed Ashurst hailing and a tad nippy. Headed eastish towords Dannivirke. Stopped at Webber, but the Webber pub is a pub no more. Off to Wimbleton for refreshments, where the bigger K bikes twadled off home. Leaving the 250 and 30 yo CB550 to do their own thing.

Jason and I headed towards Porangahau. Tried swinging around the edge of a rather ominous black cloud. No luck, we were dumped on good and proper.

Got as far as Waipawa and decided the best thing to do was head home, leaving Middle road for another day. Damn cold, wet and miserable ride. Mind you I was glad to be out on the m/c all same.

Was a relief to see the bath was full of steaming hot water when I got home and tea in the microwave. Pics attached

Ahh I see. Yes you are right. Her in doors is also an older, low maintence model. Sometimes I think I just take her for granted far too often.

What were you saying this morning about it always being sunny in the bay?

Bit like the taupo napier run. Cant escape those rain clouds.

I sat in front of the tv and watched the motor racing for the afternoon. Cosy here.

Still think I should have gone riding though.....

    .
From Waipawa on it looked sweet. Just a time thing that's all. Jason was just getting over a bout of something also so we did the right thing heading home.

Hey, wasn't Gary on that Taupo run also
