Just been told by my doctor that I'm not allowed to drive/ride due to a "minor" medical condition ( unexplained bouts of unconciousness ) so I'm off to cardiologists, neurologists and whatever you call the people who do blood tests. It would be bad enough losing my license because of something I had done wrong, but losing it because I am old and falling apart just sucks. Drive as part of my job too so there will be some changes there too no doubt at least until they find out what is causing it. Oh well perhaps my bike will get cleaned now.

P.S. Don't get me wrong I'm not suggesting I should be able to drive, I'm just feeling sorry for myself

At the risk of trivialising the matter (and I have no intention of that), you're still alive and better that than the other option. It may be that this condition is temporary and in that case a couple of weeks off riding or driving should be acceptable in the long term.

Not being able to ride for any reason is a bad thing. Sucks to hear that.

yeeha, just been told I can drive again. Turns out I'm just a girly blouse who has a tendency to faint ( apologies to girl's blouses out there) actually a low blood pressure problem under certain circumstances ( they don't call me "Pete the Meat " for nothing ) I was starting to wonder how I was going to cope with not riding or driving for 12 months and even thinking of diverting my "Honda Hornet 900 fund " to the puchase of a new push bike. And tomorrow I'm off for a week at Hayman Island, all expenses paid, so things are coming right

I have the same problem too, if I turn me head to quick I go dizzy....worse in car but generally only happens when parking etc.....and when I get out of bed I have to lean against wall......

Bummer if you weren't able to. They would have to deal with Cold Turkey then as well.

Eat heaps of Pork and fat and cheese so you build up the crap on your arteries. That should help boost the blood pressure a bit.
