    Rimutaka Diesel Spill - Wgtn (11 May)

    Location of incident: State Highway 2, Rimutaka Hill

    Incident Type: Diesel Spill

    There is a diesel spill on State Highway 2, Rimutaka Hill at Kaitoke in the north bound lane. As a consequence the road is greasy and care is required by drivers travelling in that area.

    Rimutaka Hill warning

    I just heard on the radio news (11:00AM) that Police are warning of a major diesel spill on the Rimutaka Hill Road. It occurs to me that the Hutt Valley hoons and the Wairarapa wallies may need to be aware of this...

    I went over last Saturday in the rain. Diesel all over the northbound lane like some twit wanted to put psychadelic polka dots down every 2 feet on purpose.
