    Brass Monkey 07 - Paturoa & friends(?)

    Paturoa is off to the Brass Monkey in the first weekend of June 07

    23/5 T.I.E has had to pull out of the trip BUMMER!!!!

    Anyone else that wants to put Brass Monkey stuff in here, unrealted to to our ride is welcome, post it or PM me and I'll attempt to keep the first post updated for you.

    General info for others doing the brassy at the bottom of this first post as well.

    I will keep the details updated in this first post.

    We are not sure if we have any friends yet .... wait ... yes.. Smokin .... no - sold his bike! .. scratch that still no friends Please post (or PM Paturoa) if you are interested in riding with me all or part of the way.

    Itinery
    Wed 30 - Leave from papakura Autobahn at dawn. Leisurly ride to WN and overnight WN. Route to be decided on the day due to weather.
    Thurs 31 - 8:00 Bluebridge ferry (Can't meet pete376403 & friends as Interislander was full (see post# 14)) and then head thru to about Westport.
    Fri 1 - Down west coast & over Haast pass not sure where to stop over yet
    Sat 2 - Ride thru to site - woo hoo
    Sun 3 - Short ride for overnight probably at CHCH
    Mon 4 - Ride to Picton and 6pm Interislander ferry
    Tue 5 - back to paradise!

    i dont know why but i do feal i have the bug.
    from the winterless north down to the deep south.
    and i may even leave the night before stay in ak and meet ya at the autobarn in the dawn.
    looking forward to it.

    What ferry on Thursday - 8:30? If so you'll see a bunch of us there on soft-roaders - couple of KLR650s, BMW Dakar 650, DR650, KTM 950 and there could be others. I've already booked the tickets, $80 each way.
    it's not a bad thing till you throw a KLR into the mix.
    those cheap ass bitches can do anything with ductape.
