    Quallman's first VMCC round

Excuse all my mistakes btw this was Round two of VMCC not Round one - my first VMCC round

Well, yesterday was my first race ever !, First time on a proper track, first time on the bike and the third time on a sports bike!
Sounds dangerous i know, but whats life without a little danger eh .

Aj sent me and steph out on the track for are first time following Jay lawarence around, learn t some lines and stuff, since we were just going granny speed i got a qualify time of 1:53...Something what is quite pathetic, Qualified 2nd to last.

    First race
Lined up on the grid, got a pritty ok start what was amazing because i wasnt really trying too hard, Got the inside line in to turn 1, passed one person going holy crap!!!.. Sticked the pass, Got jasmine the next lap on the same corner and had a little battle with her changed places once or twice but i keeped gaining time on the straights and a little bit on the entry's too turns..

Completely Stoked about my first ever race, Got a 9th - started from the back my best lap time was a 1:40.258, Gaining 13 Seconds off my qualifying time !.

    Second Race
Went into the race being a little cocky, jumped my front wheel in the air a couple feet dropping the clutch on accident at 11K rpm (Really have to work on my starts!!!).
Got left behind in last position, managed to get ahead of steph, in the first corner on the inside. Steph did really well! (17 second improvement over the day, Go steph !!).
Almost caught another position on the last lap but not quite .
Best time was 1:40.217 - However the times were all around this so im happy, but was in the wrong mindset after the start .

    Last Race
Jumped the start, but managed to stay with the grid, got someone on the inside coming into the first corner and someone else coming out of it, ending up following Andy, stuck with andy for a lap, realised he was really early at braking in to the hairpins.
Got up next to him and got him on the inside thinking to my self haha sucker!!!
A couple corners later and into the second hairpin im right behind a couple guys when they started braking early, i pulled into the inside line, thinking to my self holy crap im going to get both of them!!!... Got the first one in to the entry of the hairpin and meet up with the second in the middle!.
Suddenly he wanted to take my line and almost hit me cutting on to the apex!.
Side by side coming out of the corner... He got in front of me in the inside line.
Got him on the inside on the next corner and made it stick.
Pushed really hard at the end and gained a bit of a lead on the 3 bikes behind me.
Went really really wide on one of the last corners on the last lap and thought i had lost all my position's.
However i was further enough ahead and stuck to my line and held it out till the end of the lap.
    Managed to get a 6th!!! :O .
With a best time of 1:37.558 - very happy with that effort !.
Had loads of passing practice tehehe, and lost 16 Seconds over the day!.

    Thanks too :
    Vic club for the scholarship
Andy and Luke! for sorting everything out for me - not to mention andy letting me beat him *cough*.
Mummy and daddy for money and gear and stuff.
Jay, Glen and Ivan for giving me positive tips .

Oh!! I forgot steph so sorry - thanks alot for letting me stay at your house.

Great day out Kyle. You didn't do anything stupid, lowered your times by 16secs, didn't fall off and learned (last race) when your head wasn't in the right place.

All sounds like the making of a mature rider to me. Oh and of course you have to live up to those awesome leathers too!
