    Carnage Loop

Well I just completed by first Coro Loop and couldn't help wonder how many people have come to greif on this world class ride. I rode away unscathed but other on the ride werent so lucky.

Lets hear your stories and pay respect to all the bikes lost on this loop, RIP.

Done 4000kms all up around the Corromandel and had my first real bin around there today, hit a patch of slick seal and lowsided at about 50-60kms, only a few scratches on the bike, sprained thumb is all the damage to me.

Now seen 5 bikes down around there besides mine. 2 serious and 3 minor accidents.

The Coromandel has some fne roads for riding. As a race track its not good at all. Most of the motorcycle use is as a race track. The result is inevitable.

Gotta go , I need to brew another batch of Gene-O-Kleen, "Evolution you can see". If this fine weather continues as forecast, there'll be lots needed.

Yea, had all my fun over the Corromandel hill, then just taking it easy after Whangamata, hit some slick seal and I'm in the bushes, was too relaxed at that stage.
All the other guys did really good today, was great been tail end charlie for a while and just enjoying the ride with some slower riders.

    RIP Lads.

Still think about Bruce everyday. Knee down all 3 of the crash site corners for the fella. ride in his memory, he was my idol.

I have never done the full loop....only kopu- whangamata and back to kopu.... and kopu - thames- coromandel town and back to kopu.

    never arsed off there yet.

but if i go in a bike crash i want it to be down there.

or on the roads from auckland to kaiaua down the coast...between whitford and clevdon- kaiaua.

At least then ya knowi went with a fucking huge grin on my face.

fave road is whagamata road though. always will be.

Sunny day just let her fly ...140 round the 55's tipped right over knee down wrapping around through the cliffs.....blimin heaven i tell ya!

    Until you see

    then speed increases lol.

Yep. A statement like "Knee down all 3 of the crash site corners for the fella" is top-class satire worthy of The Onion.
