The path starts at a Green and ends at a Road, it connects an old reserve and a new one that used to be an orchard. Not far from where your dad once lived....:shifty:

In that case, St Mary's church Halswell, I thought it was a gravel path you had parked on until I got there and realised it was one of those all too familiar piles of sand. Thought I'd take the scenic route from home to BK via there on the way to Greta last night, after your and FJRiders clues pretty much gave me directions to where it was.

Next tag not too far away, used to read a pump meter just down from the railway line. Photo in each direction, seems a train comes through around 8.30pm.

I hadn't seen the cemetary either despite pretty much driving past it every day for 13years
I knew there had been a church there due to looking online for another tag and finding the details of it and was going to tag a photo of the old church site when I saw the cemetery
Flaxton – St Paul’s Anglican – Corner of Flaxton and Hicklands Roads.
In 1866 the Torlesse Family donated land for a church to serve the people of
the Rangiora and Mandeville Swamp areas, at the junction of the then named
Rangiora and Eyre Roads. St Paul’s was consecrated on 25 March 1867 by
Bishop Harper. It served nearby settlers as well as people from Eyreton until
1875, but with poor roads and frequent floods communication was often
difficult and the outcome was a decision to build at Eyreton where there was
comparatively dry land and an increasing population.
St Paul’s was still in use at Flaxton in 1920, but was demolished in 1934. The
cemetery is still at the site.

Camera is broken
Took it with me to polo to get the tag on the way home. There was a water fight. It was a casualty of war
Someones gonna have to get the beehives again.
If no one beats me to it, I'll go grab it tomorrow.. Just got my bike back from being fixed after a month of not being able to ride it, so any excuse for a ride. :D

OK peoples.....
I have updated the MAP (http://maps.google.co.nz/maps/ms?hl=en&ie=UTF8&msa=0&msid=204663534443301349556.00046cc21673b6bad5b7e&ll=-43.370704,172.41407&spn=1.465462,2.458191&t=h&z=9), and as it has now got big enough to almost cause my computer to haemorrhage when it loads, I have started a NEW MAP (http://maps.google.co.nz/maps/ms?hl=en&ie=UTF8&msa=0&msid=211465935119946700239.00049a4d5052a6924f956&t=h&z=10)from tag 201 onwards. Links in my sig for those that have them turned on.
If the rain stops I might pop out to the beehives this evening.....

Yes, it is.
That would be a good plan, I wonder if it's possible to copy a map and delete the ones you don't want?

There we go, had a nice ride out to get these, though obviously Gareth123 did all the hard work of actually figuring out where the old one was.
I hope you won't think I'm going a bridge too far when I say it was a gorgeous day out there today.

I couldn't find a way of copying a whole map, but you can save placemarks to another map, so now reduced to 100 per map;

I'm pretty sure I've dragged a kayak across that bit of shingle in the foreground, one weekend in February a few years back.....

Highly likely.. I figured this one would be extremely easy, but I really only had one other idea, and by the time I was riding past that one it had started raining again, so I didn't feel like stopping and removing gloves and helmet for the 7th time today, not to mention that damned backpack, which by the time I got home, refused to come off unless the jacket came off with it.
EDIT: Ah, good thing I didn't bother, I just took a look at your map, and it'd already been done - tag #42.

Actually, I've got to drive out to Oxford in a few hours, so if you haven't gotten one by then, I can lend you mine, and you can give it back at tomorrows ride.
Just pm me if you do want to do that, and you can either grab it on your way through Oxford, or I can meet you at the tag.

No riding for me today, I've got a credit card to pay off. Saving money this week. 2 minute noodles and ham are all that are sustaining me until next Thursday. I lead a sad life.

Hmm, thought I'd posted old and new tags about a week ago, was wondering why there was no interest in the new one....
Anyway, old tag, waimak gorge

And the new one, shouldn't take too much figuring out, behave yourself on the way there or you might have to stay.

I'll post a new tag tomorrow, it's a little dark now, plus I'm still in Oxford and it seems there's less interest when the tags are too far out of Christchurch.

Bah, damn it. I grabbed a new tag on the way home, and noted another likely spot on my way past, but they've both already been done.. I guess I better pore over the maps of the previous tags and see if I can come up with a new one.

You're running a bit late for some reason so as per
2. New tag must be posted within 24 hours.
I've picked up the old tag, the Historic Oxford jail

and set a new one, if you take your clubs you could get a few holes in down the road

I'm sure I looked at that very gate the other day, and thought it would make a good tag although a bit obscure, now if only I could remember where....
There are quite a few clues in the photo though, I'll keep pondering for a bit longer yet.
