Mrs B. CANNOT STAND the term "the wife". She finds it extremely derogatory.
That is one of the reasons we won't marry, so I never get the chance to say it.... so all I can call her now is "the defacto".

Mom I was going to say something but I'm too chicken.LOL
I call my wife many things, she too doesn't like the "the" wife phrase.
So I try very very hard not to use the 'the' and wife in the same sentence.
Sometimes I fail, she is so good to me cause I'm still breathing air and taking up space. She loves me.
Every day above ground is a good day!:

While the MOM has a point, and I'm sure the MAHA smells what the MOM is cookin', the BABELFISH thinks the MOM rarely would be called the WIFE by the MAHA...so is getting pissed off by other blokes antics....or is the MAHA in strife with the WIFE?
(it should be noted the BABEL would be more careful if not seperated by the length of the North Island from the MOM)
Yeah, usually means the music's about to be turned off and the strippers get sent home (BOO HISS)![]()
"Speak in short, homely words of common usage"
