Ok - it is 230 metres from the bottom of the circular stairway, along Kate Sheppard Place to the gates of Parliament. 230 METRES

But yes - good boots cos there will be some standing around! Not much walking! Thats why this is such a fantastic venue and great work by StoneY and his team.

I hate mass rides. Of the reasons that have been discussed on here a multitude of times. This time there is only one way to avoid it: not to participate. So I fully support the organising you guys have been doing. But if you are expecting that all will run according to plan I suspect you will be disappointed.
    Hi Conquiztador,

If you don't want to ride with the masses, there is nothing stopping you riding up to the stadium ahead of the ride and still park there. The marshall's will be on site from around 9:30. There will obviously be a number of others with the same view. 'Large group, count me out'. This is why we have managed to organise the Stadium from an earlier time.
By 9:30am, the daily commuters who park their cages in the underground parks at the stadium will be in and long gone.
Stoney have secured the top level walkway's, and has already been mentioned, is unheard of. So if you want to still come, just rock up early.
I'm only wearing black until they develop something darker

Just accept that there will be some temper and anger. But is that so bad? They ARE fucking with bikers after all...
Mate if you don't like the idea of going on the mass ride (like myself) then come along and help out (like myself) that way you can still be part of it and voice your opinion but leave out the ride.

If unhappy with group ride, come alone early, we can park you at parli or the Stadium

Your way or the highway huh??
You erroneously assume that a predefined method of attack [which you subscribe to] is the only way of winning the war.
Expecting highly individual people like bikers to all agree with you is naive.

Yes, because no matter how worthy the cause there are always motorcyclists willing to put their own selfish needs ahead of others. They're not "individuals". Motorcyclists fall into stereotype much more readily than any other loosely activity affiliated group I've seen.
If a man is alone in the woods and there isn't a woke Hollywood around to call him racist, is he still white?

Possibly not winning the war but perhaps at least engaging in battle. If this peaceful protest doesn't work, then yeah, bring on the war and let the fuckers have it.

I fear to little to late could apply if that is the case. The logistics of getting another Bikoi down to wellington and re-igniting the flame will likely end in indifference.

The bikes will be in Wellington, show some fucken anger!

What we may euphemistically call "affirmative action" does not need a natioal bikeoi. And indeed that would be the worst possible mehod.

When our just and legitmate grievances are ignored, then we move to stage 2.

But that does NOT need large groups of bikers in one palce. Just a few here, a few there, a few in this place , a few in that. At the right time , and at the right place.

This IS going to be a long road, and a hard road.

Be under no delusions : 90% of those who are protesting now will NOT be in for the long haul. They'll say "Too much hassle, don't want to break the law , blah, blah, pay the levy and get on with life". And I suspect the ones most vociferously demanding insurrection now will be the first to drop off.

But there ARE still old school bikers out there who will do the hard yards.

Will YOU be there in a years time?

Nov 17th is the BEGINNING of the campaign. Not the end.

So this isn't really a protest ride then is it. It's just a jolly old get together.

Stoney...I'm sure with the Police presence and volunteers presence all will be in order on the day.

for those individual bikers who dont agree with the action happening down in Wellington on the 17th...DONT BOTHER COMING!!!!!

for those individual bikers who want a more militant protest...DONT BOTHER COMING TO WELLINGTON. Feel free to organise your own protests in your local area on another day.

IF YOU ARE INTENDING TO PARTICIPATE IN THE PROTEST IN WELLINGTON THEN YOU WILL ABIDE BY THE ACTION THAT IS SET FOR THE 17TH....OR DONT BOTHER COMING!!!

Thanks to all the Wellington bikers who are helping Stoney in the organisation of this event. And the 17th is only the beginning of further protest action up and down the country, so all you hardcore militants out there can still show your mettle...BUT NOT IN WELLINGTON!!!!

    Damn the Levies.
